It was blood sport. Torturing an enemy for the amusement of their minions.

If Bristol City truly did nothing wrong- You don't agree to not do it in the future. They were underhand and acted foul.
I'm not a fan of the 'gentlemens agreement' because it shouldn't be necessary. However, Lansdown is greedy pompous arrogant bully- and sometimes things need to be spelt out to w**ker like that.
It's the equivalent of a bully taking your lunch money then agreeing he won't do it again but not having to repay the victim for the offence.

I truly hope it will come to back both Taylor and City. Taylor was admired for his goals but not particularly liked. He was looking for the best deal in the summer and he screwed us around. He did not think his move through properly and he won't stay there if they go down.
I do believe City bought him to dent our chances, take the heat off Johnson, and try to ridicule us. It was a selfish thing to do from both parties.
What has happened - we are getting stronger, defensively magnificent, and DC will sort the strikers out. Broken our away hoodoo and won with a clean sheet.
We are getting stronger. City and Taylor are not.

It does seem to be more about stopping us than helping them. We're lucky to have DC, a man with a plan and also a plan B and even Plan C. Lee J seems to be a man without even a plan A. Blimey they're playing a team they need to beat and play with only one up front and that a 37 year old. Their top scorer is injured and MT still doesn't start. He'll be too busy counting his wages but even he will be wondering why!!Comedy gold! UTG!

They wouldn't be in the drop zone if they had let MT take the penalty. I wonder if MT has a get out clause if they are relegated, or is it a pay cut for him.

Listening to Radio Bristol yesterday 90% of the calls were about the demise of 'them down the road' and yet not one even mentioned MT. I think it just goes to show that they believe it was just a childish whim by Pantsdown to try to belittle Rovers. They didn't want him, they just didn't want us to have him. He, and their fans, obviously thought it would really hurt us but now they see that it hasn't. Once again the mighty Gas have turned a bad situation into a positive. City always thought calling us 'Gasheads' was a terrible insult and laughed at us until we turned that around and we have done the same with MT. Maybe we should be good neighbours and invite all the Teds to the Mem and then say 'This is how you run a football club, these are what you call honest and loyal players and these are what you call true fans!'

I'm not gonna lie i was gutted when MT joined them lot. The reason for this was simply because I knew he was the only striker in our squad that could consistently score goals for us. It was apparent from the summer that he was going to jump ship as soon as he got an offer he deemed worthy and it was obvious that he played both us and Oxford like an old fiddle. However I was niave enough to tHink there was one club in the world he would not sign for and that was the sh**. It will give me enormous pleasure to see him back at he mem next season and city paying him 12k a week to play division 3 football. Karma.

I think them taking him on was nothing more than an attempt to f**k us over too, but what it actually ended up doing was distracting them. They were so intent on stopping us they didn't get their house in order first.

Keep it coming sh*theads, keep it coming. The more and more you try and belittle and oppress us the stronger and stronger we will become. It's a classic case of the light side vs the dark side, David vs Goliath etc. etc.

There was never any doubt in my mind that the 5hit signed that Trecherous little snake to spite us. It was a classic diversionary tactic to take the heat of the Chirruping Cockney Fool Dwarf mk2. It worked in the short term, the 5hitheads lapped it up and at first I feared for us for the rest of the season.
Having had time to think about it all, in fact the snake didn't really seem interested toward the end of his time with us. I said to my lad several times he wasn't giving it his all. Sure, he'd score if a chance was presented, but he didn't put himself out to create anything for himself. I reckon this move had been planned between him, his Lady Garden agent and that Rosy Faced, tax dodging Lady Garden. I suspect they agreed the timing of the move to ensure we had no chance of getting someone else in.
What any of those 5hithead Wankers forgot to do was factor in the DC element. He just shrugged his shoulders, got in 3 defensive players and made us hard to beat. He has re-shaped his team to get results, and given himself the breathing space to improve the squad in the summer.
Once again I urge you Wael, double DC's salary and sign him up for 5 years.

42 minutes ago, Frenchay Red said: Firstly let me make it clear that I would have been ecstatic if Rovers had languished in NL for ever. However I am afraid that very soon they will be the top team in Bristol. If we have to play them, then I would reluctantly have had to acknowledge their success and achievements if it was in the Championship. But being the underdogs in league 1 as I suspect we will be if LJ stays, what a bitter pill to swallow that will be.
Rovers have done well, no one can deny that surely. After yesterday, and the fact he didn't start, I'm seeing the Taylor transfer as pettiness and a distraction to the results.
I found it funny at the time but it's looking more and more like the bully in the playground kicking some kids football over the school gates, tragic.
Normally switch BBC Radio Bristol C**y off when they come on, but at the moment it's a gift that just keeps giving.
Vile club, vile owner, hapless clown of a manager, vile fans...................vile all round.
