A lot of clubs have a football forum where they talk about anything football related including their own club. They do that on Otib I think, certainly ton Stoke's Oatcake they do and it works really well and expands from the narrow range of topics we tend to discuss on here.

There really isn't any need for sub forums on football matters. My phone directs me to the gas works. I haven't ever ventured out and see no reason to do so. Would be easier if any football related chat was just in one place

If you are only talking about your own club it becomes navel watching and end's in bitching between serial posters. Football is all about rivalry between clubs, and the rivalry with your local inbreds is part of being the reason you support your team. It's a great idea that people should "explore the forum", but why should they? They won't. They're looking at the forum to see what people think about their team… but part of that is how they think about their main rivals. I've been looking at this forum for years and have probably 'explored' it twice.

Given how close the voting is, and that a collating all 82er threads into one would clearly appease some and probably shift the vote, that would seem a good solution to me.

Leave it as it is there's clearly an appetite for it especially while they are in their current predicament. It will all settle Down it they manage to claw their way out if not they will be relevant as they will soon be opponents.

Quite a few posters moaning about the city threads yet they appear to be liking some of the posts in the threads..
Just keep the amusing city threads on gasworks, get rid of the sh** ones.

I'd prefer if they were all just deleted - no warning, just BOSH! .......and gone.
And you can move threads about them to general sport as well if you like.

So, many of you want an area that you can discuss general sport chat and such, but you can't be arsed to make 2 clicks to the part of this forum that already does that?
EXPLORE THE BLOODY FORUM!!
I should also add that GASWORKS is the only area of Gaschat that is moderated.
We allow pretty much anything in the other parts of the forum to remain as is.
It's well used and self moderated by a nice group of regular visitors. We sometimes get serious and heavy, and sometimes just talk crap but there is no moaning, no petty arguments, no one calling for threads to be moved/deleted and none of the childish point scoring that seems to pervade Gasworks.
If any of you decide to start using more of the forum, please don't spoil it. General Chat, General Sport and Gentlemen's Lounge are my favourite part of the forum.

This is the frustrating part for me as I like to do this but it's a waste of time as if you post there then no f**ker reads it so what's the point!

Build it and they will come.
What makes me laugh is People see us moving non Rovers threads to Gen Chat and think they are sent there to die.
Well, that's on you guys I'm afraid. If anything threads have a chance to come alive. In all their unmodderated glory!!

Is it full of victorian gentlemens entertainment, or more modern stuff interspersed with advertisments for toys of an adult nature? Asking for a friend you know Back to the main subject, keep one main one in here for the amusment factor. If they look like escaping from their own pit of despair, bung the fecker in general sport.

Looks like my side (full forum freedom, or the FFF campaign as the press are calling it) have lost this one.
The vote went against me. However:
- is the vote legally binding or advisory? - this will need to be reviewed slowly by top experts and judges. - Did the vote really mean people don't like BCFC threads or was a rejection of the general system? - the "ban BCFC threads" side lied about their campaign. Once posters have been "educated" they will make the correct choice - new vote please. - Some of us (my side) are just more intelligent and middle class. We can't allow this vote to ruin everyone's future so we need to stop this.
....and more and more BS as to why I can't take my medicine.

Seems to work for the SNP/Lib Dems

I only voted yes because of my pervading shitaphobia sparked by illegal shittgration onto Gasworks. Recount!

City related or other relevant opponent threads are fine ,unless they are needless whence they should be moved to general chat. DO NOT merge into one city thread...else it will become as big as the otib thread about BRFC1883 !!
