Admission prices have been frozen for the last six seasons.
Would you be prepared to pay an extra amount to get in a better quality player?

It is astonishing that it has stayed at £260 for so long. The improved crowds in more recent times has probably helped to offset the lack of inflation on the ticket. At least the old board recognised that their lack of investment wouldn't be well recieved if prices kept going up (maybe the lack of increases hastened our demise, but doubt it).
As the Al-Qadis have paid down the debts and are showing moderate ambition, and DC has shown he can work miracles on a limited budget an increase will help us move on with the evolution.
I fully anticipate terrace in the North and East to rise to £300, and don't mind if it does, it's great value imo.

I agree with Pilning, £300 would be a good price and work out at just over £13 a game. If the sh** go down I imagine we will have our best season ticket sales since Eastville!?

I agree the cost of season tickets is relatively good value and appreciate they have remained the same for 6 seasons.
However, as regards a rise in prices i would like to think due to increased attendances, less debt and now sensible budgeting by Mr Al Qadi and Hamer we could leave them as they are.
The average person/family are coming under increasing pressure with wages not going up by much, housing costs out of control, utility bills soaring, insurance premiums going up, council tax on the rise, cost of motoring hiking, etc. So i'd like to think we could buck the trend and continue to make tickets affordable and not put them out of reach of the average person.
Many Rovers supporters have really stood by their club during some tough times, where other clubs may have lost a large proportion of their support. I believe it is essential to reward that support now times are better.

Looking at a few recent away games you're looking at £21/22 for a ticket.
For £16 you can watch rovers. I appreciate there's an element of our stadium being inferior to many of those comparisons but it's also a limiting factor as well as we could otherwise go cheap to attract new fans.
It seems that FFP is holding us back and determining our 17th placed budget, if we want to scale the leagues we might have to pay a little bit more. Seems fair to be paying a quid or two more than we did in League 2.

The club must charge what they see fit.
If it prices me out of renewing my ST that's fair enough.
I will decide when the club announces what they deem to be a fair price.

Increasing prices will not get more people buying season tickets. The time to increase is directly after a promotion and then by a very small amount. OR When the stadium sells out every game. When the number of home fans tallies over 9500 virtually every game. Then a price increase is warranted.
after all what is better 1000 people paying £250 or 800 people paying £320 ? sponsors get their product viewed by 20% less people. 20% less people available to buy food,drink,merchandise,programmes,50/50 tickets etc etc. and less people to cheer the boys on.

Just 24 votes is disappointing.
Come on there are enough Gasheads only to happy to increase their message contributions to 5k+

Come on there are enough Gasheads only to happy to increase their message contributions to 5k+ I'm not a season ticket holder, can't afford to stump up in one go. This season I will have missed 2 games, today being one of the two. I personally wouldn't have a problem paying an extra £1-2 per game. I'm just getting used to the sounds & smells of the South stand....

Costs about an extra £30 but still means you save nearly 40% on Pay on the day prices. I've done that the last 2 years. And the smell is probably just my blanket. You get used to it eventually.

Really? Could you point me in the right direction please? As this is the first I've heard of this. How does it work? Do you pay £X per/month?

Do you pay £X per/month? Yeah, I got a finance agreement application when I got my ST. You just need to ask for one to be sent out with your ST application. If you know the seats you want fill that in on the ST app too. My mate I go with normally buys his out right, so knowing what seats I want makes sure we still sit together. The club will hold your seats while they process the application. It normally takes about 2 weeks for them to approve your finance, then the club issues my ST for my requested seats. It costs me about £34 a month I think and runs for 10 or 11 months?? Keep in mind that I also get my U11s ticket completely free as I am a full paying adult. It's brilliant really. I've done this the last 2 years now and the staff in the club shop could not be more helpful.

I would happily pay the extra next year. These boys give 100% every week and with our home record over the last few years, it's well worth the money.

I believe it is essential to reward that support now times are better. Whilst I understand Johns logic, we are likely to make a bigger loss this year than we did last. I know our support is rising but we have taken on a lot more staff in the medical and training departments, and it has to be paid for. As we become properly resourced for almost the first time in our history, this is the inevitable outcome. But I have to say that I find it amazing how little the club charge for over 65's.. So perhaps start there. It would also help of course if it were cheaper getting your car makeover done for less. Now who can we ask about that?😇🙏🏼🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

OK, perhaps I should not have asked the question about season ticket prices so have changed this to admission prices.
We will have to recruit probably 4/5 new players for next season and I would like them to be of Championship quality so we will need to increase our budget. DC says our budget is not in the top ten for this division.
So, as a Gashead I would be prepared to invest more into our future even if it means me having to cut back on other things. I do appreciate that everyone's circumstances are different but it is possible to buy a season ticket on credit through the club and even with the additional interest, it would still be far cheaper than paying at the turnstile for each game if you attend at least 18+ home games
As Gasinsider has said, we are now employing a lot more non playing staff, medical, media, training etc and we have all seen the improvements as a result of this over the last six months.
The new owners have shown their commitment and I would be happy to pay extra to move the club forward. I appreciate that not everyone is able to commit additional resources but the question is, do we want to progress to the Championship or our we happy to remain in Championship 1.
