Club Website says that if we sell the extra 1,000 tickets, it would be the biggest Gas away following for a league game since we moved to the Mem in 1996! I'm sure we took 4,500 to Reading a couple of times in late 90's early 2000's.

What a farce, spent half my shift trying to get a bloody answer on phone, now I guess I'm going to have to drive over before work tomorrow, making me late for work, if it wasn't for the fact I'm up in Birmingham for the weekend I wouldn't bother, frigging joke from Coventry If you are referring to the club shop not answering - you should have seen the queues there this morning - they were rushed off their feet! Probably in hindsight a bit of an error to start season ticket sales at the same time as Coventry tickets.

Going to be more than we took to Chelsea. Can't wait. And so there should be as this is a more important game. Our huge latent support base is coming alive!

Yes, but if the club's ticketing and sales dept was properly organised they could of been selling tickets on Saturday, 8k of us there who could of bought our tickets then - it's a farce and it is a testament to gasheads that we've bought so many despite how difficult they are making it for us.

If the shop is that busy, I'm going no where near it. The "friendly" staff will be on one.....

Got tickets this morning over the phone, has been a bit of an unnecessary headache but looking forward to taking my 7 year old son to witness a real gas atmosphere! Anyone know what pubs are likely to host a few friendly gasheads?

Anyone know what pubs are likely to host a few friendly gasheads? Been looking up pubs in Cov for the match and to be honest they are all a bit ropey. the best of a bad lot I have found that may suit a youngest like your lad is this place www.hungryhorse.co.uk/locations/bull-anchor its not far from the ground.

Train station is 3.8 mils from the Ricoh, plenty of pubs up the Foleshill Road on the way to the ground.

The buzz for this game is so real. Can't wait. Hope everyone can handle the pressure - team & fans alike. I suspect they can given previous evidence. Everyone expects to beat Cov now - fans are shocked if they don't 😳

I've always found this website helpful for info. re pubs / travelling etc. (also quite interesting to read what's said about our place): Www.footballgroundguide.comFor those travelling by train, what worries my slightly is the bit about the service from the main Coventry station to the arena one by the stadium (single carriage once an hour on a match day?!? And nothing back until 6.30pm?!? ... unless that info is now out of date). Also the bus option from Coventry station seems a pain. Thinking of a few cans and the 3.5 miles walk or a taxi share from Cov station if I can find one. As for pubs, there is a Spoons in Bedworth (for those who aren't too fussy!) - few beers and something to eat there then just a 10 minute hop on the train to Coventry.

I used to live in Coventry for a few years (thankfully escaped) and if arriving by train, to me the best option is to walk to the city centre from the train station (10 mins) and try some of the many pubs and bars there. If you want something traditional, two of the best are the Old Windmill in Spon Street (one of the few old bits of Coventry still left), or just nearby the Town Wall Tavern. Then either get a bus from the main bus station or probably easier hop in a taxi.

Guess you'd have to change at Coventry station to get on the right line. See Google maps here

About 3 miles according to football ground guide, the train service to the stadium is extremely poor, it's a one carriage service and apparently the service stops running before the match finishes
