If the shop is that busy, I'm going no where near it. The "friendly" staff will be on one..... Always found them very friendly and helpful, both in person in the shop and over the phone. I guess some of us don't do a lot of face to face business anymore, I'm afraid the customer service at the club is in the dark ages, evidently Wael hasn't got his hands on it yet. If I treated my customers like this I wouldn't have a business for long, it's the problem with monopolies. In fairness to the staff they are working in a creaking system, it's always the same whenever there's high demand for a game. But we are Gasheads, and we thrive on adversity, there aren't many clubs who've survived what we have in the last 30 years, proud of the Gas.

I've always found this website helpful for info. re pubs / travelling etc. (also quite interesting to read what's said about our place): Www.footballgroundguide.comFor those travelling by train, what worries my slightly is the bit about the service from the main Coventry station to the arena one by the stadium (single carriage once an hour on a match day?!? And nothing back until 6.30pm?!? ... unless that info is now out of date). Also the bus option from Coventry station seems a pain. Thinking of a few cans and the 3.5 miles walk or a taxi share from Cov station if I can find one. As for pubs, there is a Spoons in Bedworth (for those who aren't too fussy!) - few beers and something to eat there then just a 10 minute hop on the train to Coventry. There's also one at 5:30pm it'll be a long wait if you missed that one though for any reason, why don't they run an extra train at 6:00 pm on a Saturday? It's great how they build a new stadium with no parking but then have poor public transport links as well.

The buzz for this game is so real. Can't wait. With us on the up and CC in a really bad decline, it might be the only time we play at the Ricoh Arena for some time. To think I used to work with a guy - from Cov - who had a season ticket at Highfield Road and used to brag about playing the big boys every week, how fortunes change.

Some clubs will only give us that sort of number if we guarantee to sell them. That would be daft on our behalf. people that want them can still get them. Why ? Its can hardly be down to printing costs which would come to very little. Like I've said before , it was blatantly obvious we were gonna sell 3k minimum . But you asked why not get 5000. Little bit of an increase on 3000. The reasons don't matter. If the club staging the game say we have to guarantee the sales, then it's no go. Simples.

Anyone know how many tickets have now been sold ? WIll we take more than 4000 ? I asked that this morning no one seemed to know it seems we've sold so many in so many hits we've all lost count. I think we'll take 64,000 with another 1.2 million locked out.

Club Website says that if we sell the extra 1,000 tickets, it would be the biggest Gas away following for a league game since we moved to the Mem in 1996! I'm sure we took 4,500 to Reading a couple of times in late 90's early 2000's. Quite right because I'm sure we took 5k to reading first at the madjheski

I think the strong demand for tickets is that we haven't played Coventry in the league (Ricoh for the first and possibly last time) for years

Coventry have sold over 41,000 tkts for their Wembley trip (the week after playing us) and have a home game this Tuesday whilst we have a nice rest so our game is almost a bit of a pressure game... for us! If we can't win in this situation we might be under criticism.
Not sure if their 41,000+ is people crawling out of the woodwork or fans genuinely coming back because it's not a home game.

Not much use if no one ever picks the phone up and I'm working thirty miles away, so frustrating sometimes with rovers getting tickets

Took 37 attempts yesterday to secure tickets but thankfully somebody finally answered the phone!! Glad they did as the round trip to the Mem would of taken close to 4 hours! 1st class post yesterday at 11am, through the letterbox at 10am today, Looking forward to losing my voice with the Gas family!!
