Crowd 5 Flat Ref 7 Much better than recent ones! But should have sent off Sweeney and missed the same thing on Easter a few seconds earlier. Chesterfield 3 2-1 flattered them. Worst team to come here other than Coventry and Northampton.
Leadbitter 8 should of stayed on his feet for goal but very good going both ways Lockyer 7.5 not overly tested but always in control Sweeney 6.5 very fortunate with yellow, but otherwise steady Brown 7 done his job defensively, good link up with Monty
Bodin 6.5 worked hard for 70 but not at his best O. Clarke 8.5 back in the side and terrific all round Lines 7.5 very good particularly 2nd half and now has more to his game Montano 7.5 as good as I've seen him, I know DC likes to change his wide men after an hour or so which usually works, but today I didn't see the need
James 7.5 very good first half, obviously disappointed with Pen, but his all round game in the first half of both the last two home games has been essential to our fast starts Gaffney 8 similar to James as with our sudden realisation in starting quickly...pleased he's getting the goals again
Subs: Moore 6 kept it simple again but would like him to be a bit braver at times in the final third Easter 6 not too much time and done ok Mansell 6 done nothing wrong and right change with Ollie taking a knock
Crowd 6 subdued, perhaps shows the progress we have made when ppl expect 3 pts against these today Ref 6 ok, couple fussy moments but better than most I've seen recently Chesterfield 5 stuck at it but to be honest until we got a bit complacent and sloppy in possession in last 15 we wasnt overly troubled
Lumley 7 serenaded by the crowd during the frequent quiet periods.
Leadbitter 8.5 was in Brazilliant form Browner 7 back to being mr consistency Lockyer 7.5 rarely troubled Sweeney 7 he and Locks are having their own best centre half contest each week - the skipper shaded it today
Bodin 6.5 not at his best but put in a shift O Clarke 9 had the game by the scruff of its neck from his opening salvo till his substitution to protect his knee. Lines 8 he and Clarke owned the midfield Montano 7.5 offers invention going forward and graft when we don't have the ball
James 7 constant thorn in Chesterfields side Gaffney 8 quality goal and back to his defence occupying best.
Moore 6 Competed well Easter 6.5 useful if rusty cameo Mansell 7 sewed things up when he came on
Ref 7 good style of reffing the game despite some clangers Crowd 6.5 peaked at 17 mins with offers of their spouse to the ginger Messi. Chesterfield 4 had character but little confidence or belief they would get a result
Leadbitter 7.5 - played really well, Chesterfield struggled to contain him, and what about those 360 spins! Lockyer 6.5 - sloppy & slow on the ball in places, but mostly fine. Sweeney 7 - solid Brown 7 - Solid
Bodin 6.5 - looked a threat when he had the ball O. Clarke 8 - MOTM great strike and great control in midfield Lines 7 - Solid performance, if only he could shoot like Ollie. Montano 7 - Some good runs, put alot of effort in.
James 7.5 - Great through ball for Gaffers, hard worker as usual, such a shame about the penalty, still dying for him to put one away! Gaffney 7.5 - Good goal, good work rate, we've got the Gaffney from the loan spell back.
Subs: Moore 6.5 - Played ok, not as much confidence going forward as the other wingers. Easter 6.5 - Nice to see him back, played ok, would of liked to of seen him take a shot, there was one notable moment for me where instead he tried to lay off for Gaffney when he appeared to be in a much better shooting position, but his confidence is clearly low in front of goal. Mansell 6.5 - Played ok, not as well as the last home game where he started though.
Crowd 6 - good singing first half (understandably), would like to see us making some noise when the players haven't given us a reason to a bit more though. Ref 8 - Good game, very few if any bad decisions. Chesterfield 5 - looked terrible first half, played much better when the Gas took their foot of the pedal second half, not a bad goal, glad the whistle went when it did!
