The Blackthorn end noticed! I wouldn't be surprised to see Luke James with us next season - £5 to FFS if he isn't.

He isn't good enough. He won't be here next season, but we can only support him whilst he is here. He clearly really wants to succeed and gives his all every game (unlike Harrison). Felt bad for him today. Perhaps the contract extension stuff was BS, or DC simply decided that it is worth triggering an extension if it gets us points on the board for now. He is good enough. Did you not see how he set Gaffney up? When the highlights are out, check out the quality of the control and pass.

Is that possible? The bit about you both being right? Me getting my wallet is obviously wrong..... yeah, if neither are in the squad for next season / or if both are in the squad for next season then you owe the ffsc a fiver..... fair enough innit.... If Fanboy is betting the exact opposite to you, how is it possible for you both to be correct? I've had a few beers today so I'm probably wrong!!

His work rate is excellent. What he needs is a bit of luck.

I heard that although James missed a penalty today other than that his build up play and determination made him one of our best performers ? I know the most important thing for a striker is to score goals but he seems to be ticking pretty much every other box. Maybe he's a good player for this level but he's not a striker ?

Was chatting to a couple of people in the pasty queue in the South stand just before the pen miss, all three of us agreed he isn't up to standard. Don't get me wrong, this has nothing to do with the pen miss, but IMO he isn't up to league 1 standard. I think DC will be looking elsewhere come the summer for 2-3 strikers. On a side-note, anyone know why Easter came on? Thought he was given his marching orders, he had a contract extension agreement in place, if he played another game? Can't agree with this I think he's good enough just needs a bit more luck and he will come good. Shame about the penalty, that could have been the boost he needs. "I think he's good enough" Serious question, nothing else. What, from what you have seen of him, makes you think he is good enough?

How about play him on the left like we do with Bodin on the right ? We've had Sinclair and Montano there this season maybe give it a try for 30 mins in a game ?

He was brought in to score goals and if he doesn't do that, DC will NOT sign him up.

From what I've seen of him, he ain't a keeper, don't think he's a defender, not a lot has shown me he is a mid-fielder.

His passing , tackling and determination are all good and he leaps well and wins headers. It's pretty much his lack of goals is the only bad thing I can say about him. Not good enough so far for a striker but certainly good enough as a player.

From what I've seen of him, he ain't a keeper, don't think he's a defender, not a lot has shown me he is a mid-fielder. He's a number 10. LJ is supposed to be doing what Taylor did. He's supposed to support the line leading number 9, get on the ball in advanced positions and provide passes to assist team mates and shoot. Also, to get in 6 yard box and get those tap ins. LJ looks rawer than Snake, doesn't look as classy with the ball. However, he does more running and is very much in it for the team. This is so valuable to the team. There are other areas I feel he can outshine snake: his feet are quicker, he is faster over 5 yards, he has a quicker turn, he's fitter and more agile. He kind of scampers. He's a quite unique player in terms of his gait - not sure if anyone noticed this but he has a certain body shape which seems to turn quickly. I think he wil be a poacher and finisher, given the chances.

What's all this crap about, people saying all he needs is a bit of luck. He hasn't had any bad luck. He just doesn't get in to goalscoring positions. The penalty today was woefully bad. He does work exceptionally hard and has great control and a super eye for a pass, but I have so far seen nothing to suggest that the lad looks anything remotely resembling a goalscorer. And just remember what an expert I am in that department.

Whatever he is I don't think he will be here next year unless he starts scoring goals, as that is what we need.
