I could see the logic in that argument if he was just going though a Gaffers like dodgy patch but he hasn't been scoring regularly for 3 seasons, I'd like to be proven wrong next season but I can't see him suddenly becoming prolific just because DC believes in him! Fingers crossed he'll prove you wrong before next season.

www.theposhforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=28451Peterborough fans have written him off. I've just got a good feeling about this. Peterborough look to offload him, DC doesn't come across over keen so we get him on the cheap. LJ feels more confident with somewhere he is settled and a club who believes in him. LJ becomes a regular goalscorer at L1 level 17/18. Heard it here first. Him playing well but not prolific could be a good thing for us when it comes to signing him. Run that by me again. It's good for Rovers because James can't and hasn't looked like scoring a goal? .....okay. Your missing the point, its all part of the masterplan to sign him for a free transfer at the end of the season, then hey presto! he will turn into rampaging goal machine and help sweep us to to the top of the table by january. Then we will sell him for 300k on jan 31st because of a bloody release clause and it will not be our clubs fault that we didnt replace him because we didnt think he would go.

C'mon Hugo - be fair. He looked like scoring on Saturday, right up to the moment when his boot actually made contact with the ball when taking the penalty. .....okay.

Apologies, Hugo. I somehow managed to barge into your post instead of adding my reply.

Give him a chance Hugo. There is something there. He's only 22 too, I believe he will improve with us.

He's hit the post once all season, as far as shots cleared off the line I can't recall many of those, have dreamt they've happened? I'm pretty sure Easter would, or even will, score more goals if given the same opportunities LJ's been given by DC.

We have a 22 year old strker on loan who is woring his bollocks off and improving all the time. He might not have got a goal but he is still finding his feet and is only going to improve. What is the fascination with Easter, the bloke has had what, one season where he has been fairly prolific? Bar experience and strength he is nothing special and not the future of our club. Some fans are so short sighted.

Unless he starts looking like more of a goal threat over the next 7 games then surely there's better options out there that we could interest. DCs trying to build a top 6 squad and from what I've seen, he's not a top 6 striker

Bar experience, strength and the ability to score I agree Easter's useless!! Although I've no fascination with Easter I just want a Rovers striker who can actually score, I just don't think James as that in him. An assist and a goal by Easter against apparently an strong Swindon side will give DC something to ponder this week, if he his serious about mounting a Play Off push.

We are stronger with Luke up fron compared to Easter. Also, he is potenially our player next season whereas Easter won't be. So makes far more sense developing the 22 year old over the 35 year old.

James is no more our player next year than Easter is. He is a loanee brought in to score goals. Blissett scored more frequently.

And actually, now I think of it why not play one who is actually our player, and one for the future instead of shipping him out on loan?

How can you say we're stronger when none of us have seen Easter start a game for months? Regardless strikers are supposed to score but LJ doesn't seem capable of doing that, he probably has the next two games to find the target or JE or EH will take his place as DC's patience will run out at some point.

No too busy checking on which strikers are still under contract for next season, incidentally one shot is not "shots" as GGMI suggested.

I actually don't think LJ is that bad but he's not a Rovers player and frankly the idea that Easter is of no use to us next season (wherever we are) and it being the end of the world if his contract extension is triggered is just as much sh*te.

Whatever we think of easter hes already been told in public by the manager that he has no future at the club.
