Just spoke to very helpful guy at London & midland trains - yes it's one train an hour and one carriage. Nothing is ever considered re football so it will be one massive queue and if you don't make the 5.28 carriage a long wait until the 6.28. Only in this country can you get a rail employee recommending the bus service- - - The train station situation is really weird, I don't really get why one was built if they're not going to do it properly - just seems like a waste. Will have to see what its like on the way in and bus it worst case. You should see the trains from Filton Abbeywood on match days. There's one ay 5.24, which is tight if a game has much injury time. The next train is at 6.10, so no thought to football fans there. UWE can't come quick enough for me.

Abbeywood is hardly a purpose built station for stadium fans though, plus at least it has two trains an hour not just the one!

But surely the arena station is sited to service the arena? Just doesn't make sense to run one carriage on match day night as well not bother it's such a token effort.

Just a polite reminder to all those letting the train take the strain today that it will be manic trying to squeeze onto the train at coventry arena after the game so if you can all kindly use alternative ways of getting back to coventry station, in an orderly fashion, we will much appreciate the seats and leg room as we wave to you en route :-) utg
