See I think some of our fans underplay our long term potential and are so used to losing our best players over the years that they are willing to just accept he will go.
We are from one of the biggest cities in the UK.There is not premiership club near us for 80 odd miles, and our nearest club to us are nothing of any real note( dispite what they may think they are.)
As a club we have long term premiership potential that could rivial, if not better Norwich's support one day. We are one of the fastest growing clubs outside the premiership right now - training ground being built, stadium hopefully on its way, great new owners...etc...
DC has brought himself job security here for the next 3,4 years and will be able to mould this club in his vision which he would not get at any other club.

He would last less than 6 months if results don't go well, just the same as every manager at every other club. It's mental, but there it is.

Don't think he would go with the upheavel involved and he will get us to the Championship I have no doubt.New stadium announcement would cement him here even more so do hope it gets sorted sooner rather than later. Pardew according to Telegraph main target. He might get us to the Championship, but he could get them to the premier league as maybe stay there. Would be hard for any non gas head to turn down.

Unless the stadium is started soon that counts for nothing. Clarke has taken us as far as he can at the mem and the longer it is delayed the more it harms his career. He needs to jump when his stock is highest.

Potential is fine but Norwich already have this ready to go.
We have a field to be converted into a new training ground, and that's it so far.
I think we will need to have some positive news regarding the stadium or DC (if not this one) will get offers too tempting to turn down.
The good thing is that he is a young manager so has time on his side and doesn't need to rush into anything. On the other hand DC seems very ambitious so its up to us to match that as he owes us nothing, in fact we owe him!

The fact that this is in the Sun makes me think it's unlikely to happen...they are the tabloid version of Keith Chimp- just cover all bases so when something comes off they are able to say "we told you so"!
On skyBet he is 25/1 which equates to about a 4% chance with some seriously experienced battle hardened managers in front of him...

Can you imagine the sh**-fest on One Turd if DC left for Norwich?
Ever since they beat Huddersfield they have been crowing about the gap and their mammoth thread on us, which had sunk without trace, has re-emerges at the top of the first page.
The thought of those 6 fingered cretins Monkeh, Vincent Vega (otherwise known as Chris the Postie?) etc etc making their smug comments turns the stomach.

But "we" aren't DC, it could well be Wael's discussed with him on the QT where the club stands with the UWE plans, although DC's problem is if he does have a bad 6 months at the start of next season then he may not still be in charge anyway even if works gets underway anytime soon. As far as the other poster saying we're one of the fastest growing clubs, should be potentially one of the fastest as teams like Brighton & the 82er's are far ahead of us.

Personally, I am not convinced he will go to Norwich. He'd be tempted, but I think he may well refuse.

Well he ain't moving for at least another 2 months so let's concentrate on finishing this season on a high first.
Most managers would have jumped at the Leeds job in DCs position in the summer.
But people thinking any stadium deal announced soon will keep DC here are deluded, with an approx 2 year build time. Amazes me how people can look further than 6 months! A sh** start to next season and people will be wanting other clubs to come in for DC. That's the reality.

I'm surprised they get time to get on there in between shagging their relatives, shooting up and burning LJ effigies.
They bang on about having bigger attendances but you only have to look at the number of different coloured kids coming out of those South Bristol council estates to see why.

He will stay with us until England come knocking! IMO he will be the England manager before his career Is finished We need to hold onto him for as long as possible and as previous posters have said a new stadium would act as a huge incentive to stay along with a decent budget to make signings in the summer
