Yes I know. That's what I said! So bad 6 months and with no job security there's no guarantees? I think you mean that without job security there are no guarantees he'd last six months

Then again, he could go to Norwich, have a bad three months and be out of a job. Are expectations higher in Norwich? Where are they now? 8th in the Championship, and they've sacked the manager! I assume that they want the new manager to do better than the last one.....no pressure then.

Am i totally missing something regarding a DOF they're all talking about us having? Yes they're talking about Norwich wanting to get a DOF in before a new manager. They want Huddersfield's DOF - God help them after last Friday night's debacle for the Terriers!

All conjecture - but IF he had a minimum 2 year contract @ £20k per week + (not unrealistic) in the Championship would he be bothered too much - I doubt it apart from his pride. Nearly a £2m pay off - I'd give it go in his shoes.

I'd like to think this has been brought to Wael's attention and dealing with it.

Bris your dead to me because you said he's dead to me before I could say he's dead to me. Therefore you are dead to me just like the rest of these losers on here are dead to me. To summarise.... Everybody's dead to me. Apart from my mum and dad who are not. And my cat who I love very much. And baggins who gives me sexual release. Apart from that feck the lot of you. X

Am i totally missing something regarding a DOF they're all talking about us having? Yep, they all seem to think DC would need a guiding hand, but we know that isn't how he works at all. Someone mentioned he is a head coach rather than a manager... yeh right. They also mention he has a reputation for playing attractive football on the deck. I wouldn't go that far, we have always been quite a direct team for the most part.

You are right we haven't had one since the Trolls and Lennie days And John Ward for six weeks. But we all know this was to get John out of the spotlight.. nothing more than that.

If and when DC moves on the club needs to anticipate who he might take with him. New managers often take/ bring backroom staff with them. Although he's had huge success with us in some ways he's still a rookie manager, so it's a big ask to go to a new club on your own. He's never played at a higher level and all his managership experience is with us and Salisbury. Trollope had his credibility questioned at Birmingham and he'd been a Welsh international! Would he take Yates and/or Stewart?

Im sure DC is already aware that his success so far in his managerial career will ensure he gets lower league jobs for the next ten to twenty years. Even small clubs pay decent wages so he wont go hungry . At Rovers he has credit in the bank and tolerance for poor games or runs. The thing is even if Rovers did poor next season what would the logic be in sacking him ? What other manager will have his credentials ? DC always manages to think through and work out the issues so even a poor season would see him rectify it and off rovers would go again.
If Dc were to go to Norwich its unlikely he would be able to take Ipswich legend Marcus Stewart with him.
DC says he is ambitious and clearly believes in his abilities . Therefore so long as Rovers supply the budgets and facilities that will enable DC to do what he needs to do why should he leave...when he can achieve his ambitions here.
A bit like with Francis ,when DC gets to the point Rovers can no longer go forward he will leave.
Like at Twerton the Mem means 13th in the championship for a short time is the ceiling at present. The owners need to raise the ceiling at some point.

Cant see DC wanting to work with a DOF. Not after the last few years, he couldn't even get on with that player development manager, or whatever title he was given, Will (is he still here) Dubey?

Would he take Yates and/or Stewart? The good thing for us is the two main components of his backroom have emotional links to the club with it being in their home town and having payed for the club historically. I'm sure they would have their eyes on moving up the ranks within Rovers in the instance Darrell moves on and it even looks like this has been planned for to some extent with Darrell often delegating press events off to these two this year.
