Glad you liked it. 2 home wins probably played a part in everyone being friendly. But having put a bit of cash into the local economy it's good that you had an enjoyable weekend. Loved the report and pictures. Good luck in doing the 92! UTG!

Never heard anything at the Mem described as 'sleek' before

Excellent and knowledgeable write-up. That's probably the kindest anyone has ever been about the Mem. Also surprised to hear Bristolians described as so friendly; usually get the impression we're not really considered that friendly by outsiders. Great pics, too.

Good write up, really enjoyed reading that. The bit about Gaffers chant did make me chuckle! Glad to hear you were made to feel so welcome by everyone you came across in Bristol.
Thanks for sharing! UTG!

Cheers for that. It amazes me how many people actually like our ground as it is proper old school. As much as we slag it off (myself included) I think we'll miss the place if we ever actually move.

"" Bus drivers, serving staff in shops and restaurants, and vendors at both football grounds all just seemed so utterly delighted to make our acquaintance. ""
I think that just happens as long as you are spending money with them!!!

I think dipping our feet into the non-league pool was enough to show us we need a new stadium, as many of the clubs who have been in non-league for years have better stadiums than we have, and other clubs who had worse have either got a new one or developed their existing one.

Did you like the programme? My contribution was towards the front, entitled 'More Than An Armband' about our ex-captain

Also surprised to hear Bristolians described as so friendly; usually get the impression we're not really considered that friendly by outsiders. Great pics, too. As a nearby-er but non-Bristolian I think Bristol is utterly special. Rough yet kind, creative yet industrial, posh yet working class, big yet small. It has everything and is the exact reason why we, from Bath, would gravitate to it from the earliest opportunity in life. My first concert was in Bristol, my first gf was in Bristol, my first football match was in Bristol. And so on. I have wandered around some of the dodgiest bits of Bristol and never had any hassle, even with cameras around me. I've met homeless people, drunks, artists, anarchists, old guys, rastas, people living in vans (when then turned out to know someone I knew), and even you, Antonio. I've been offered drugs but never offered a fight. I think Bristol is generally very chilled / laid back - not always but often is.

Enjoyed the read. It's always good to get the view of a neutral fan I agree what he says about our ground especially the fact we can stand which will be lost when we eventually get our new stadium He didn't mention the pies
