Should we take our own official stewards to oversee away games would this help to control the morons ,who spoil other people's enjoyment. I was under the impression that there are local Police "spotters" at away games.
Does that no longer happen?

What I don't understand is why Coventry allow their obvious unruly element to sit next to the away fans bating them with hand gestures etc for the full game. Why don't they sit them at the other end of the ground, particularly when they anticipate a large away following? Imagine the fun we'd have at the Mem if we allowed the away fans to stand next to the Blackthorn?

They appear not too interested in the football just beer, abuse, and singing "we sit where we want!" All nicely decked out in Chav island clobber!

Imagine the fun we'd have at the Mem if we allowed the away fans to stand next to the Blackthorn? a similar situation to Leicester a few years back then, a ground half empty but their numptys were allowed within 10 foot of the away end, and the local constabulary just sat back and let them hurl obscenities and hand gestures while rovers fans got arrested / thrown out.... really easy problem to over come, but i do wonder if the police allow these things to happen in stadiums on occasions to justify the policing costs....

I must admit I was surprised no action was taken about the hand gestures as if I did outside a football ground I'd expect to be arrested, although the police don;t organise the seating.

Shall we focus on what we do bloody agree on. We have a small element of stupid, disrespectful people who are causing trouble and giving our club a bad name. These so-called 'supporters' seem to think going to a football match gives them carte blanche to act aggressively and in an anti-social way that would not be tolerated normally. Football day's out DO NOT allow people to do what they sodding want end of story! Let's not over react. However, if you are a decent follower of our club do the right thing - REPORT IT to the Stewards/Police on the day and also to our club officials! ...and not only that, as a group follow it up and tell the club we don't want anything to do with these individuals and would like the club to take action to remove them in any way we can. Together we can help rid our club of these idiots. And finally on a personal note, if you are one of these vermin: You don't look hard or clever. You look chuffkin stupid and 99% of your fellow Gasheads think you're a total pr1ck!I bet they're chuffkin scared now lol 😂

Maybe we should start a gaschat crimewatch thread. not such a bad suggestion because this sort of incident could end with points deducted and imagine if that had happened last season - the team would not have been promoted Erm. No I don't think so. Has there been a points deduction ever for supporters causing issues? It wasn't even in the ground btw so it becomes a grey area wrt the actual sport.

More ott nonsense on this thread then. There's more hassle up kingswood high street on a Saturday night than at rovers throughout the season. Every club will have idiots unfortunately.
To think, some of you lot are proud to have been there in the 70s/80s where this behaviour was the norm. Football today is far removed from that.
As for deflecting the kids attention. Why not grab a vantage point and watch the action? It's more honest than a David Haye bout.

Lets be aving you me old china (or words to that effect), at my age I try to avoid confrontation as the weapons used in society are far worse than the kickings you would have got in those days (nice collection of DM prints all over your napper). It isn't big and it isn't clever anymore. As for boxing on the tele, some of that is looking like the old Saturday afternoon wrestling with Kent Walton

Last night on Coranation Street , veteran actor Ken Barlow was batterd over the head and pushed down over the stairs ,was any of the show's script writers at the Coventry game ,and saw the agro on the stairways and got the idea for last nights epesode , this has the making of a gripping story line in the comming weeks.
