Can we have the new stadium just off junction J7 of the M25 please? It's a bugger driving from Sussex to the Mem and back in a day.

I don't think bluebutterfly come across well in their posts, I'm not sure if they're on a wind up or not, but why this mooted point isn't up for debate is a bit rose tinted in my opinion.
When we first announced UWE all those years ago I thought, '21,000, WOW - doubt we'll fill that in L1/2'. Fast forward to the present and with our friendly Jordanian at the helm I could see us getting circa 15k, unless we stagnate and I can see the crowds dropping below 10k for L1 at UWE.
My point is, we have a lot of fans for sure. I'm not one who agrees with the slanderous 'day tripper' remarks. I genuinely believe we have tens of thousands of fans, but this is the post-modern world and more people work Saturdays, work away for long periods, move away and etc. I'm young(er than the majority on here!) and have many out of town friends who like football, 10% roughly have come to at least one game, for others £18 is too much, I don't think for them the same price in a stadia offering a totally different experience would be anymore attractive. I do agree that a new stadium will make it easier to attract more fans and families, we will have to make sure we do this effectively - but whether this will translate into repeat attendance and season ticket sales imo is not a forgone conclusion and I welcome the debate, even if it was put forward [poorly|by a wum|by a shithead] (delete non-applicable).
And there's a curveball, the rumoured potential capacity change (straight to 27,000?), as well as additional revenue croppers e.g hotel. Personally I'd be embarrassed sat in a half full stadium.

Has the S**TS attendance gone up this season, since their new stand was built?? New facilities attract new fans. Look at how teams attendances at clubs like Swansea, changed after moving into a new ground We still sell out seating most games and have sold out the stadium, plus it will create extra revenue, attract better players, which will attract more fans. Away teams will bring more fans to a new stadium. To keep progressing on the pitch, we need to develop the club off it. Our crowds are better today then Brighton, swansea, Hull as well as others were while they still played at there old stadiums. We need a new arena asap to fulfil our potential. City's crowds have jumped up because of there new stands, and if we had the UWE right now I've got little doubt that our avg would float around the 12-15k Mark. People need to remember that the Mem is a COMPLETE sh8t hole compared to 95% of stadiums today, so to average over 9K is still decent. not wrong. we all know the mem is a dive.

Can't the mods do us a favour and ban them for having two profiles? TBH they can't be the sharpest tool in the box or they'd use capitals for this profile just to put us of the sense they were still struggling to find the caps button on their chromebook!!

If it is 1973 he closed his previous account of his own volition and was not banned for any reason. There is no reason he should not take a new account up if he so wishes.

The reason we do not sell out is because the ground is not appealing to fans who call themselves Rovers supporters but not motivated to go every week.I might be a season ticket holder but I have no affiliation to the Mem. I am an ex tote ender who enjoyed great memories however to move on and up we need a new 21st century stadium.

2 promotions almost invincible at home but why such small crowds relative to the size of bristol and compared to bristol city? stll not as big as the crowd I was in when I was seeing your mother last night. Thats pretty vile actually but it must be ok because youve got a little gang that like the post.

We have never in our history had 2 promotions followed by a promotion push but we cant sell out which i find a bit poor and to me is a legitimate issue. People have made good arguments about the difference a new ground will make and maybe they are correct,i hope so.

People have made good arguments about the difference a new ground will make and maybe they are correct,i hope so. Do you need to drive to the Mem? Park at the Mem? Have you tried to buy seats at the Mem recently? Or bought food there? Or tried to get a drink in the bar? Have you actually been there yourself? because if you need to ask why people won't go there, I can't believe you've been. Maybe you could bring someone new along to see what their unblinkered view of the place is? I've done all these things and frankly I Dam hate the Mem and am ashamed to bring people along. It's a shithole and has to be one of the worse grounds in the football league. All this stuff is very obvious to pretty much all of us, yet you don't seem to see any of it. Thus, people draw the conclusion you are winding us all up. It's a difficult view to defend.

The Mem is a sh*thole and a dive, the sooner we can move to a new stadium the better. I still wouldn't say it's the worst in the league, Swindle's council owned tip is no better facilities wise. All I can say Mr Flutterby, try to come across less of a WUM or gushing teenager (unless you are one) and you will receive less flak. Game day Saturday lets be aving you UTG.
