For me it's got to be mr ice cool manse ! The man is a natural born leader who bossed our midfield when he joined us especially his first season with us. I also think he was the perfect signing for us off the field as well in regards to his attitude, commitment, and experience which really helped create the team spirit that we see today which has got us as far as we have currently and it's something that I have never known before supporting the gas , He may not be one of the best players in the world technically but he more than makes up for it with desire, determination and pride in the shirt. It also helps scoring the winning penalty at Wembley under the most pressurised of circumstances! So in short lee mansell !

Danny leads for me. Love his pace and he is sound at defending. Really good to listen to his interviews. Just needs a better delivery in the box.

Isn't it fantastic that we've got sooo many players in the frame for this thread. The love for this squad is palpable. Homegrown players, players giving their all. Lovely. Unfortunately I've only had the pleasure of watching a few of 'em 'in the flesh' so this is based purely on reports, interviews and GasChat etc. The Beard . Infectious, excited, grateful, all giving and typical of the type of player that DC inspires, but I love 'them all. I do sometimes wonder how tall he might be though? UTG!

Retain a massive soft spot for Manse, top player, top bloke, top penalty. Bodin deserves a mention, sheer quality more and more often, and both Linesy and OC as Bristol boys who keep improving all the time.

The Beard should wear number 42. Go on............ My guess is Dr Gas is referring to the legend Jackie Robinson who wore 42 for the Dodgers. The man changed history. Back to the op - Ellis for me.

Manse- held a lot together during both playoff runs. Loads to choose from in a fantastic squad but for me the way the manse pegged it off the pitch against Dag and Red will stick in my mind. 100% team first kind of guy.

That's a hard one, there are so many to choose from. I narrowed it down to Sinclair and Manse now that's Macca has gone. 2 months ago I would have said Macca now I'd probably go with Sinclair but tomorrow I might change and go with Mansell. I think I've got to go back to 1974 until I find a squad so close and with so many favourites. Sinclair it is until I watch the Grimsby play off final again then it's Manse! No, no, stick with the beard! UTG!

1st Bodin 2nd Brown 3rd Sinclair
But whoever scores the winner v Millwalll to take us in to play offs will be my new favourite player.

Sincs Browner Billy Linsey Tom Ollie......the list goes on & on. Yeah, it's all of 'em innit. Got to say, I think it's down to DC. They've even named a State over here after him. UTG!

Yes it is - nothing but admiration for all the guys who have pulled us back from the Conference & made us a good/decent L1 outfit. Forgot Manse & Macca & Gozzy. However without DC none of this would have happened!
