I think that they should go with Kid a Quid on the terraces, at least until the New Year. Families will soon be looking at how they can afford a decent Christmas, and Conference football probably won't be top of the list. Agree.

I think it should be quid a kid all year round, kids always need food and drink whilst watching football. Plus it creates the fans of the future for Rovers. It's an absoloute no brainer!

I would imagine the club are going to pick and choose which games the kids get to see for free. I'm sure we'll see more kids for free soon, hopefully. If The Rovers keep on improving the club really needs to get the kids in for free again a couple of times. Not just make if free for them when things aren't going so well. Great point. If they only give free kids tickets when we are doing poorly, who's going to want to come back? They need to give them out at games where we hope to stuff a few goals into someone. Kids will.love that and will look forward to their next visit.

I wonder if £6 a game would work with £5 meal deal chucked in, thats bloody good value for money?

What a great idea.
Maybe even 7.50 for a ticket and meal.
Great value.

It should be free for kids U11s with a paying adult. £1 is fine for a token effort but 'FREE ENTRY' is more catching. Tbh I am getting bored of talking about how important this is for the future fans of the club but it's clear that somebody in a loftier position than me/us doesn't think so.

It is free if you buy a season ticket.
A quid is a good price.
I really do like the idea of the ticket/meal deal though.

I've managed to unearth a 7 year old distant relative, who I could probably indoctrinate into the Rovers family. At least if it's free or cheap entry, it doesn't really matter if he spends some of the time running up and down along the front of the Blackthorn! Meal deal is a great idea too.

I know Quid a Kid or free entry is popular, but I have heard of someone complaining to a BOD member, that it is not fair on fans like them who have bought their kids a season ticket. Can understand that, maybe in those cases the club could do some sort of deal with them. Free drink and snack?

It is free if you buy a season ticket. A quid is a good price. I really do like the idea of the ticket/meal deal though. There will be more fans prepared to go as and when due to commitments that will prevent them getting a ST. We have what? 2-3000 ST holders. We haven't got 2-3000 kids getting in for free each week. We should have though. I'd be suprised if there are many more than 100 ST holders that take a free kids place too.

Looking at it from my POV. I won't take my 2 up there to pi55 about on the steps for a £10++. But if it were free I would take them and probably spend about a £10 on refreshments. So the club definately lose out in my case.

I seem to recall someone at the last meeting saying that an adult season ticket holder can get a season ticket for an under 11, for about a tenner with free pirate membership thrown in.
That makes it about 50 p per game plus membership. Who wants quid a kid?

My Dad would take me to games when I was young but would never buy a season ticket.

What a great idea. Maybe even 7.50 for a ticket and meal. Great value. Good value indeed, but BRFC would be responsible for a new obesity crisis with the youth of Bristol. On offer today we have chips, pies, pasties, crisps and chocolates, washed down with a coke...
As I said in the post above, most people look at offers in the short term and on face value. Quid a quid is a quid from their pocket. Good value or not, some will be turned off by £7.50. Could always run both offers though.
£10 season tickets for kids and a kid a quid every game next year, definitely.

With the much reduced availability of the happy hour I am now tempted to go to the Welly or even Gloucester Arms - for me and my sons that was a deal breaker after the game even if we did spend the savings on discounted pasties!
