It won't be important at all. Aye. The goal difference can't make any difference as Southend are miles ahead on that score and for us to finish level on points with Millwall we would have to draw next week and Millwall lose. Even then, with those extra 2 goals not conceded we would have to beat Millwall 9-0 in the last game Feasibly the point could make a difference in catching Southend but it's still a massive long shot and it's most likely it won't even go to the last day. Had we won that Gills game, though, we would be right there now, level on points with Southend, ahead of Rochdale and where we need to be with Millwall. Going for the win was obviously a gamble worth taking and any manager worth his salt would have done the same thing. Them's the breaks. Faint heart never won fair maiden. I would rather we kept our defensive shape at 1-1 and tried to sneak the 3 points and wait for the unexpected that we have seen today.

We need to beat Peterborough and Millwall & Southend not to win Saturday. Forget Rochdale for now, even draws are fine for Millwall and Southend.
Anything to take it to the last day. Remember last day of 2014? That required a specific set of (unlikely) results for us to go down...

Just got home, christ that was dull but left with a weird feeling given today keeps the faint hope alive. Not really sure what to feel! Think we will struggle if we play like that against Millwall thats for sure If we can still do it by the time we come up against them then we will play better and we will win I'm pretty sure of that. What I'm also pretty sure of is that we won't beat Peterbro on Saturday. I reckon we've got about a 5-10% chance but what a great achievement whatever happens from here on. In a way it beats the last two seasons, I know it doesn't feel like it because it's probably not going to end in promotion but to finish top ten after back to back promotions is an incredible achievement.

Im proud that were mathematically still in the play off mix with 2 games to go, that along with a top 10 finish will be good to build on for next season

5-0 at most if we only beat P'boro 1-0 I see your point! Though if we beat P'boro then goal difference can't be a factor with Millwall. I meant Millwall, just pointing out that because every goal we score increases our gd and simultaneously decreases theirs.

I was impress d with Ryan Broom. He picked the pace of the game up and fired over a couple of decemt crosses.
Partington played well I thought, but in the 2nd half Leads would have had a field day down their left flank.
Can't make my mind up about Harris, whereas James HAS to go back to Peterborough and although he did score, Ellis is no more than a useful sub.
Speaking of which, is James allowed to play against his parent club next week? If not, I'd give Broom a chance up top.
