Obviously not all promotions & relegations are sorted yet but it could be something like this......
Out: Blades, Bolton, Bradford, Vale, Chesterfield, Coventry & Swindle.
In: Rotherham, Wigan, Blackburn, Donny, Muff, Pompey & Luton.
Certainly doesn't look any easier!

Course it will be tougher.
Lots of people saying 'lets just wait for next season to have a go', when we are only 4pts off now.

Think people are saying if we don't go up its not a major disappointment, as it's not expected. Every fan wants us to go up surely? But yeah we need to strengthen massively over the summer to compete next season.

In the evolution not revolution strategy, this season was always intended to be a promotion season, but from L2 to L1. The events of last May were a bonus that put us a year ahead of schedule. Unlike this season where the majority of us were perfectly happy with a top half "winning" season, there will be increased expectation next season to contend with, meaning that the current position held will be seen as a failure. I, for one, am looking forward to it.

Lots of fans suggesting we can just consolidate this season and get promoted next season. If only. I think we should have pushed for it more this season whilst we were 'up there', despite being 'ahead of schedule'. I have a niggling feeling about next season, it will be a stronger division and we've had it good for 3 seasons now on the trot. Big summer ahead to get anywhere near keeping it up.

Agreed, Portsmouth are the prime examples of expectation taking longer to achieve but in each of their recent seasons in L2 the intention at the start of each season would have been to secure promotion. To evolve you have to move forward and the intention, post takeover, was to exit L2 through the top door at the earliest opportunity and that opportunity was planned as being this season. We are ahead of schedule.

Full houses v Muff and Pompey.Wonder what we will know re our new stadium when we kick off next season?Think the Mem was a bit of a shock for Bolton!!!! 71 now so come on get it sorted so I can actually be there.RICOH was a stunner but how appropriate grounds like Shrewsbury's are for their needs. My most enjoyable away game was Oldham but town a complete dump. Was Linesman once there v Man U on a plastic pitch!!!.First Division then and they could soon be in the lowest tier.Fortunes change quickly .Just ask Stockport,Hereford and Blackpool. Looking forward to next season already with our 15 new strikers !!!

I'd say Blackburn, Wigan and Rotherham are in freefall so may not necessarily be harder, personally I'm hoping Birmingham and/or Forest come down

If we lose the 3 biggest teams, attendance wise, and most likely playing budget,Sheffield Utd, Bolton & Bradford how can Div 1 be any tougher next season?
I can't see Blackburn or Rotherham being particularly strong and Wigan are hardly a club to fear.
I can see next season's top 6 being the teams who miss out on the Play Off's this season plus P'boro and MK Dons if the latter get their acts together over the summer.

I can see it being tougher next year, but we can only concentrate on ourselves.
A decent bit if business in the summer and an announcement on the UWE and I think we'll be pushing for the playoffs again

Luckily we won't have to go out and find a 20 a goal season striker with the plethora of striking options we already have

With this squad we have improved year on year for 3 seasons. Who's to say we won't again? Add some new faces - first choice keeper, centre back and striker a must - and there's no reason why we can't be very competitive.

At the moment Rovers are 4th in the form table over the last ten games. And that is after losing Snake. Let the other teams worry.

The confirmed list is: Rotherham Oxford Utd Peterborough MK Dons Walsall Wimbledon Charlton Doncaster Plymouth Portsmouth Really only ten clubs definitely in league 1next season with the rest still got something to play for ? If that's true then that's incredible with only two games left.

If we could keep our defensive and midfield squad, including current loan players, and add a striker,we could be motoring. I think Gaffney will come good next Season and if we retain the service of Billy in addition to a really proven striker, we are on for a good season. Regretfully I think Manse, Easter, James Clark, Ellis and Moore might be freed for unlocking some salary monies. What do I know though - nothing, if any go they deserve our thanks because, other than Luke James the striker who has taken a vow of striking chastity, they have been great servants to our club.i

League one might be tougher next year but so will we be, with some decent additions this summer, so nothing to fear!
