Guaranteed a top 10 finish. Massive well done to the boys and DC.
Very frustrating away days but hats off to them, an outstanding home record.
sh**ting myself for next season now as we're due one.

Yep, would have been happy at the start of the season with a top 10 finish (as most of us would have...)
Bring on the Millwall!!!! They ain't scary any more...

Top effort. Going to be one of those 'what if' seasons but would have bitten your hand off for a top 10 finish at the start of the season.
Well done the lads

anything other than a top 9 finish is unacceptable

Feel like we've missed a massive opportunity to keep the momentum going. I don't think we'll do quite as well next season.

What worries me is that people will think with a few additions we should be up there challenging where as in reality we have been punching above our weight. I just hope everyone sticks with DC as I think next year will be more of a struggle.

I think it will be just as hard as this year but with DC in charge I'm confident we will be in the mix

We're not good enough for the top 6, but we're not so bad that we've struggled. All depends on recruitment but I see no reason why we can't build on this to be honest, DC is good at recognising faults in the squad. EDIT: Our biggest mistake would be to have a mass clear out, which is what many want.

If (and it's a big if) he splashes the cash a bit, brings in a few good "league 1/Championship" players I think we will be there, or thereabouts next season. Most Gasheads will stick with DC next season, be-it good or bad. He has earn't enough credit IMO!

We might cop a second season syndrome next season and struggle a bit , hopefully we can keep DC on board and ride the storm. A brilliant effort by the the lads to have a to p ten finish could have been so different bloody Bury and Coventry!!

Must admit i think dc will leave and we will flirt with relegation next season unless some serious cash is made available to the manager. It might be that the ffp rules and the stage were at in developing the club makes that impossible though. It will be a fascinating close and pre season thats for certain.

Haven't the current squad proved they can more than compete at L1 level? I agree investment is needed but even if V little is spent, I think this squad would be nowhere near the relegation zone. No chance DC will leave whatsoever.

I bloody hope we don't go into meltdown over failing to make it.
After two promotions this is a brilliant achievement and there's lots to be optimistic about. We need to sign Lumley or similar and two strikers which count as putting your money where your mouth is (i.e. no Rory Fallon style gambles) as a priority. Then we can look to build on our squad.

Lumley and sweeney most likely will not be here and were lacking a good goalscorer. "no chance dc will leave"? His stock is very high right now and he will know the difficulties if he stays so i think he will leave but i very much hope you come back on here and give me stick if im wrong because i hope im wrong.

No chance DC will leave whatsoever. I agree. I also can't understand why we think so many of these players aren't good enough. Most have shown they are, post Jan window we have been short of goals, that has been the issue. We should have replaced tosspot, in business you always plan for worst case scenario and have mitigation plans in place. Not having one for something that seemed likely was very poor from us. GK and centre half are needed desperately, obviously Sweeney and Lumley would be ideal but we haven't scored goals when on top so for me we need more goals. A few quality players in, and this doesn't have to mean big fees, we won't be too far away. Finally it has been an excellent season from a good team and good manager. Playoffs are a shame but it doesn't override achievement. We now need to kick on again.
