in defence of Keith Valle,
i don't think the guy was in a particularly good mind set for the most part at twerton.... he was an alright guy who got the contemporary humour of the time completely wrong and got hung for it ....
he was a good bloke

Maybe we should bring back something Keith used to do, interview away fans. Our PA guy can start on Sunday and interview some Millwall fans at half time when they are 3-0 down

Away fans always seemed genuinely surprised when he got the stewards to open the gate to the away terrace so he could go up and interview one if their fans (still the days of fenced terracing at that end of the ground, although that was very soon to change). Was a nice touch, although never remember him doing it in a derby game (bet he would have done had he been allowed). Would be good to bring that back ... but perhaps not Sunday.

I hope they come in togas like WBA did. Men in togas crying at the side of the road outside Twerton as we left was strangely amusing. The funniest bit though was when Keith (can't remember how to spell his surname) read out the wrong score to make them think they had stayed up for a brief moment (we were all on the pitch by then), only to correct himself and confirm their relegation. To this day I'm certain it was deliberate (unless I've remembered that all wrong!). I have a vague recollection of that but I assumed he'd read out an incorrect score that he had been handed. Funny as f**k tho.

It was very unique, I liked that a lot. Apart from when he interviews really young kids though, they can be a bit cringey and that also goes for Radio Bristol phone-ins.
don't get me wrong kids are great I have a couple myself but most give one word answers

On their forum they seemed to imply there's a fair few of them in the Blackthorn, hence it suddenly selling out. Plus 3000 in the family enclosure and 1500 in the east stand enclosure. We are surrounded so we'd better surrender or better still not go. Ffs just go to the game and hope we p*ss on their parade. What are people getting wound up about? When did I say I was getting wound up? I was merely passing on something I'd read. Thanks for the advice though.

Keith was part of the fabric of Twerton, full of bizarre, larger than life characters at every turn, both amongst the staff and on the terraces. I literally have no bad memories of the place. Like a fairytale!

I got chased by Millwall after the game, one of them kept yelling at me and waving a knife around, proper nutter.I don't mind telling you I was absolutely sh1tting it. He finally collared me up by South Bermondsey station, and handed me my knife back. Must have slipped out my pocket. What a fkin relief.

I went to Millwall too and saw no trouble. Doesn't mean there won't be trouble on Sunday in completely different circumstances does it terrace guy.

I take it you're in a box for the game Terrace guy all my life. went to Millwall. No problem there. Grow a pair Should the young kids down in the South Stand also grow a pair if it kicks off down there too? Or if it kicks off outside the ground. Or yes, even in the North Terrace. Personally I value any information that may indicate if this game is likely to pass without incident so I may make a decision about if I want to bring my kid along. I want him to continue to associate going to football as a wholly positive and safe thing to do.

There'll be some seriously disappointed people on here if Sunday goes off without any trouble, they've been building it up for weeks!
