Sorry to see that Montano was not offered a contract. Gutted to be honest. I think Monty is really enjoyable to watch. Works hard going forward and tracking back so it's a difficult one to understand Has no end product, not surprised at all that he hasnt been offered a deal. Better options out there.

Monty is definitely one of the better wingers we've had at the Mem in recent years and his pace has often given teams something to think about, especially coming on against tiring legs. I'm not sure that Beckham could have picked out Harrison and Gaffney with crosses at times this season so I'm not sure I buy the "no end product" line. Regardless of whether or not there are better options out there (again, like who?) I think many will be disappointed to see the back of Cristian Montano.

The fact players have been offered a contract doesn't mean they will necessarily stay (see Parkes last year). None on that list will get equivalent or better offers elsewhere... Cause Orient was a lot better option!! If they are told they are going to be squad/back up players, then they might look for first team Football elsewhere. Even if it means dropping back to league 2. We don't know what they have been offered, so how can we say, no one else will match it??

Bolton winger Filipe Morais got more assists at Gillingham in 46 minutes than Monty in the entire season. Food for thought. The right and logical decision for me.

The stats are telling though and clearly illustrate he doesn't have enough end product. Credit to him, he has improved but it's an obvious area for an upgrade if we're serious about pushing on.

I'm surprised Harris has been let go. I thought he looked class whenever I saw him play (bar at PV)

If Harrison and Gaffers were released we would have had zero strikers left! I imagine DC will still look to bring in at least two and then we have EH & RG as back ups. Think some people will be a little disappointed about Monty but most of us (including myself) are delighted that SM & LM have been offfered coaching roles. It also means we will have a back up keeper who won't mind too much about sitting on the bench with his main role being coaching.

The fact players have been offered a contract doesn't mean they will necessarily stay (see Parkes last year). Well he's a perfect example of why players would be foolish to turn down a contract offer, caught drink driving during the summer after he moved, then part of another team relegated out of league football and sometimes not even paid! Not surprised Monty's been released but still feel he can do it at this level, unlike Moore who's been his understudy for most of the season, let's be honest who would we like to see start on Sunday Monty or Moore?? it'll be interesting to see who DC brings in as his replacement Harrison's a lucky boy to get offered another contract but will he sign it if he hasn't signed it yet. I expected JC to get offered a new contact but is he really top 6 quality, whereas Monty isn't apparently?

Disappointing if we intend to go with Gaffeney and Harrison as starting 2. We need to sign at least 2 or 3 strikers. Not convinced these guys are the way forward.

I will not miss him at all a very poor player at this level, was better last year so i can see him at the likes of Yovile etc

Jamie Lucus is a strange one, he has so much potential but just can't break into the First Team He's been a victim of our success really, if we hadn't got straight out of the conference he'd have probably been given a proper shot, same with league 2, if we'd have spent a couple of years there he might have worked his way into the team.. but he's not a league one player unfortunately.. not yet anyway and it's time to move on and get real game time

Surprised we offered James Clark a contract and even more surprised we didn't offer Harris one, are we really gonna get a better player as back up?? Also disappointed gaffers and Ellis have both been offered contracts.. wouldn't be unhappy if they all took offers elsewhere

Seems like the right decisions to me, possibly only two question marks. Firstly, Monty is perhaps a bit unlucky and I would have liked him to stay but with Moore in contract I guess he had to be released if we want another winger in the squad. Again, Lucas is a hard one to call and the potential seemed to be there at one stage but I guess his failure to break-in as regular at struggling National League teams has not worked in his favour. Again, I would have given him another year.

Both are certainly good squad players and hopefully there is room in the budget for 2 or 3 additions in the summer. DC will will want at least 4 possibly 5 strikers in the squad next year.

Quite enjoyed watching Monty but always subbed and never quite unlocked his potential. Great re Mansell + Mildenhall. Evolution not revolution 😀 Hope both accept the coaching roles and good to see DC values them - probably a pay cut for both but a great offer if they want to coach at a professional level.

James Clarke has got better as we climbed the leagues and is a very accomplished defender at this level, which is more than we can say with some of our other retained players
