The task now is for DC to bring in a better winger than Monty who, on his day, probably the most exciting winger since Muzzy left Certainly better than Moore and helps in defence - unlike Moore

A few players coming in then. How many season loans can we get in these days? Just out of interest would you of preferred to of signed Roos , colkett, boateng and James on permanent deals ?

Our squad: Moore, Kilgour, Ellis, Clarke, Broom, Gaffney, Clarke, Sinclair, Bodin, Lines, Burn, Hartley, Lockyer, Brown, Leads. Is that it? + Partington. I think DC will bring in one or two players before our first game.

just heard DCs interview ... looking for 10 or 11 new players next season ... Exciting Summer ahead.
Fully expecting Jake Clarke - Salter back on loan especially as he missed three months this term. Think we might get Joe Lumley on a season long loan as well. Fingers crossed for Ryan but Stoke might look to the Championship for his further development.

Interesting that DC said a lot of clubs are sniffing around Ellis & Gaffers.
Will we have to give them more moolah to stay?

Of the ones mentioned id have signed Boateng, he is only 21 and although his form was up and down he still put out some top performances.

So all the posters who chucked abuse and jumped all over those of who suggested 10 new signings were likely can feel free to gtfo. Trololol.

I didn't think he was too bad against us, but I think he has potential to be at least a Championship player. Ollie Clarke has only just kicked on this season and he is 24.

Rubbish i bet league one and league two clubs would look at Ellis as a decent squad player I think Gaffney would get interest from league two clubs as well

Happy with that list. Much rather have Ellis as a fourth striker than Monty as a first choice winger. But what about having a decent 4th choice striker instead of EH? I'm not an EH fan but to say he's not good enough to be a 4th choice striker is harsh IMO. Late in the game coming on he does look powerful and a real handful. I think as a 3rd/4th choice striker, you won't get much better in league 1.

Wish him luck in the future though

So DC has released two out of the four skilful players. Easter and Montano leaving Lines and Bodin. Not really surprised as DC prefers to have players who run around a lot ie Sinclair and Moore. When I said DC would sign 10-12 players people laughed- well who's laughing now? Just hope that DC does a lot better than last year with the signings as to be come atop six side we will need QUALITY footballers and not just hard working ones. Time will tell.

Problem is he won't be 4th choice, if he stays he'll be second choice CF, so if Gaffers, or AN Other, goes off form he'll be expected to start in his place not just be a super sub. It still seems odd to me DC's released basically his first choice winger at the Mem in Monty, but kept his reserve striker. Perhaps it's all just a way of safeguarding a transfer fee if Harrison jumps ship.

Sorry to see that Montano was not offered a contract. Don't think he's done enough at the end of the day. 1 goal and 3 assists in 31 games isn't a good enough return for a winger. He so often opens things up for us though. A good header of the ball for a winger too. I'm gutted he's going, he improves every game he plays.

Anyone think DC mentioned budget a few too many times in his interview? I sense he feels it will be an issue.
