All of this seems to suggest DC believes he can get better, much better than this squad, which is a squad which is achieving a respectable league one place. We have not offered a player the calibre of Christian Montano a contract. I am excited in what we may be getting in the summer.
I do not understand the apathy on Gaffney. He's what Matt Harrold should have been. He has been leading the line brilliantly, like a new-school number 9. Also, I think he is useful as an option if we ever wish to play 1 up front. Harrison I am slightly surprised at but one thing you have to say is that when he wants it, he definitely has goals in him, and this is rarer than hens teeth.
I have a feeling they will be the back ups though.
Honestly, if DC is ditching much of this pretty good squad, I think we have some solid signings coming. The next phase of this revolution.

Literally the only similarly between Harrold and Gaffney is that they're both ginger... MH averaged 1 in 3 by the way, RG 1 in 4 (1 in 5 since signing permanently).

Interesting that he has announced the list now - before the final game! Hopefully will give the fans a chance to show their appreciation to all involved. BTW - anyone want a ticket to the South Stand for Sunday? 1 x Adult and 3 U11..... Wife has booked weekend in London.... Tell her to have a nice time and you'll see her when she gets back.

Interesting that DC said a lot of clubs are sniffing around Ellis & Gaffers. Will we have to give them more moolah to stay? He also said we'd get £10M for the snake. Kidology methinks.

To answer this properly, MH was a better player in an awful bunch. He worked hard and was a good pro and was a good influencer on the pitch. However, he was terrible at receiving the ball and could not play the number 9 role we asked of him, giving away free kick after free kick, not meeting headers and falling over. Meeting crosses was his strong point, good in the air but more getting on the end of things. Rory gives much more of a headache to the centre backs and has time to become a much better player. Back to goal Rory every time, and he's faster, more athletic and just generally much more awkward.

I think moore is a skillful and technically a good player,he also has a eye for goal. Just think he lacks some drive and belief,i dont think he really enjoys playing that much. I would assume most supporters can see he has ability? Moore runs round a lot and we can see he has ability? Trololol. I'll have whatever you 2 are smoking. Moore makes Clarkson look world class. It's only the fact that we have Luke James that Moore has escaped more criticism. The muted response from the crowd every time Moore comes on as sub tells you all you need to know about the vast majorities opinion of Byron Moore I'd happily see him gone, same mould as Ellis, languid and aimless

The one thing I don't get from DC's interview is how can he suggest that he's going to bring in better quality than Monty, but then says he needs to sit down with Wael etc and discuss next season's budget? Wouldn't it make sense to discuss his budget before he announced his retained list? As far as Gaffney he really does blow hot & cold he's been shocking in some of our away games this season but in the next home match, he's been brilliant he really needs to up his consistency if we are aiming for top 6 next season.

I'm sure DC will already pretty much know his budget. Just saying 'it still needs to be discussed' is another way of saying I'm not talking about it so don't bother asking.

His recent interviews are gentle nudges to the board/owner saying "i need more money for next season"

I was more just trying to make the point that even when DC does know his budget, hes not going to let anyone else know what it is. UTG!

Of the ones mentioned id have signed Boateng, he is only 21 and although his form was up and down he still put out some top performances.
Did you see his performance against us this season? If you mean in the 5-1 win then I think he was their MOM. None of them were good but he was less bad? Has done quite well there.

Perhaps he has a bigger budget and is happy, but trying to play it down, like the bottom 8 comment.
He wont want clubs/players/agents to think he has more money
Who knows, just dont trust everything DC says.(and thats a good thing)

Hugo I think DC will want the backing to push on or he might be tempted to jump ship, he is as ambitious as us.
