Tranmere rovers ,hope they do it back at the first attempt. Not first attempt as their second season in Conference.Think only us and Shrewsbury have done it at first attempt. We were the fifth i think and Cheltenham did it last year

To be fair I'd rather go to Blackburn, they are on the slide big time, can t even see them going straight back up like other clubs.
Not too surprised Birmingham won today, the sh** spent most of the season bending over for clubs and feel it more of the same when Tammy signs for a Premiership Club like Brighton next season.

A Millwall vs Bradford final is good in my eyes. Two teams who would be highly expected to contend again next season in this league so will be good to get rid of one of them.

Anyone know how many sold so far? I'm imagining quite a few as although our form has been awful, Blackburn is one of the more attractive awaydays and I don't think we've played them since 1992?

I have a feeling Carlisle might have done it about 10 years back. Might be wrong, though.... Yep. We actually followed their template a decade later: 2003/4 - relegation from league 2 2004/5 - promotion back to league 2 2005/6 - promotion to league 1 Saw this old post of mine and I wondered what happened to Carlisle after their double promotion. The answer is: 2006/7 - 8th (slightly higher than we did last year) 2007/8 - 4th - missed out on automatic by 2 pts then beaten in the play off semi by Leeds 2008/9 - 20th - avoided relegation by 1pt. 2009/10 - 14th 2010/11 - 12th 2011/12 - 8th 2012/13 - 17th 2013/14 - 22nd and relegated 2014/15 - League 2 20th 2015/16 - League 2 10th 2016/17 - League 2 6th (lost in play off semi) 2017/18 - League 2 11th to date. So they hung on for a number of years and even threatened promotion to the championship a couple of times. Carlisle has a pretty big ground for a lower league club but their attendances, though not awful, have always been less than ours. Guess what. There were talks and plans for a move to a new stadium but they didn't come to fruition. It's hard to see them ever being more than a league 1 / league 2 club, isn't it? Well maybe, but they did spend a solitary season in the top flight in the mid 70s so it is possible to elevate above your natural position and that should give us hope. Even then they couldn't fill their ground, though. They had an average attendance of 14,000 and the capacity is 18,000 now. I'm pretty sure we would fill out an 18,000 ground even if we were in the top half of the championship. I suspect that Carlisle have been able to find relative financial stability in recent years. That is one thing we are in desperate need of doing, and if we're not going to move away from the Mem we either need a sugar daddy (unlikely) or to cut our cloth appropriately (unpopular due to the untapped potential of the fanbase and the area). Otherwise, we're screwed. I'd love to fast forward a few years and find out how our journey ended up. One thing's for sure. It's bloody hard to predict what will happen.

Blackburn for me every time as that would be a new ground for me, mileage makes no difference to me even if it is a midweek match.
Unfortunately missed out on Stevenage last season due to a medical problem the week of the game, so only left with Blackburn.
If not them, it's going to be a very cheap season as I have visited every other ground in the division and now only go to new away grounds.
Brilliant result.
Only just got in and not realised ko was 12 noon. So I got my wish and will be off to Blackburn this weekend for my first game this season.
Really looking forward to it.

I'll be there as well with Scrappy Doo. Don't fancy us coming away with any points but it will be another new ground crossed off the list.

I'm usually fairly positive before a game but, honestly, I'd snap your hand off for a gutsy 2-0 defeat right now. Don't see us scoring unless Bodin produces a worldie and we'll have to defend much, much better than we did on Saturday to concede 4 or less. Happy Wednesday everyone
