Have been in Oz for past month so your reports have been good to read and grateful thanks for all the reports through the season. Appreciate that your views are sometimes different from some of mine but you always justify what you've written and that's fair. Well done and thanks Steve, I can only imagine all the hours it takes. Have a well earned rest! UTG!

Another game lost by DC Sweeney should have played - Easter should not have been subbed - And sorry Steve - Luke James was not fouled he was just out-muscled as per usual but should not have been and never ever should be on the Mem pitch. So every push and shove on a player isn't classed as a foul in football? I'd like to see a replay but pretty sure LJ was just bundled to the ground. I agree re Sweeney missing costing us the game but Easter was doing little when he was subbed and LJ was the only other striker on the bench.

I agree Sweeney missing cost us the game, he was fit and not selected. DC did it on purpose because Phil Brown is a complete lady garden.

Steve, I struggle to understand this continued point about Sinclair leaving too many gaps for Lines. I get his limitations in creating attacks and moving the ball forwards but defensively he's always one of the first players back when the opponents break. On an opposition counter-attack he may have to go out of position if that is where the immediate danger is but I don't see that as a problem and not one specific to his partnership with Lines.
When we have the ball, Sinclair drops off slightly and leaves the creative stuff to the other forward players. There's no reason that Lines also has to drop deep when this happens.

Imagine we had 2 Chris Lines' we would get totally overrun. Lines escapes criticism because he is a (supposed) gashead and people tend to look elsewhere to excuse his poor performances which they have been recently.
