I always thought people were being slightly paranoid about the Pro Ted and anti Gas coverage by the media but now I am not so sure. Listening to Radio Bristol yesterday on the way home from the game, they said 'We are now going to play a compilation of Rovers highlights this season' and then proceeded to play recordings of goals - home and away. I estimate about 80% were of goals against us. It made it sound like we'd had an awful season. Put that alongside the Evil Post photo of the Snake, fist pumped with a stupid grin on his mug, with the headline 'Rovers miss out on the Play-offs' and also Points West and HTV coverage - where the only time we get a good coverage is when we lose! Maybe Pantsdown has put money into these media outlets and threatened them if they try to be impartial. I am a great believer in Karma (Swindon - charging us for the replay of the abandoned game being one example. That won't happen next season!!) and I hope what goes around, comes around and one day soon we will be the top dogs.

Nah, nothing here.
If it was just say the Evening post then maybe I could understand that there could be a head writer there that hate us.But not the EP,the BBC and HTV being paid off my pantysdown.
City fan's say the same thing about them on OTIB.

I'm not usually one to moan about this either but did think the same when listening to that. It was such a negative spin on what has been a positive season.

You're right. There were so many more positive recordings they could have played, it was almost as if they were trying to celebrate our narrowly escaping relegation.
Local media are totally up the arse of 1982, the reason I believe is they have been in a higher league, spend a fortune on players, wages and the stadium.
Things are about to change, and I reckon the positive spin and focus will be on us in a couple of years.
Mind the gap, Sh1!heads!

That's stupid, they're always pretty balanced. If anything Yeovil miss out most. BUT I certainly did think "What a weird compilation" when I heard it. Also the banking music was sombre as f**k. Certainly brought me down on the way home when there was nothing to be down about. Politically though I find all of the BBC including many different local radio stations are left liberal bias.

Surely Yeovile should be covered by BBC Somerset. They get mentioned by radio Bristol City as a courtesy.

And now this morning's BP!!! A cobbled up article about police dogs on page 12 opens with "They helped prevent a pitch invasion by Millwall fans at the Memorial Stadium on Sunday." Unbelievable! Except it isn't.

And on the back page "End of an era at Rovers". Nice & negative/downbeat! No " New era" or "next phase of great revival". With friends like that....

Come on, they are an approved, non-fake news source. Thankfully, search engines and other apps are screening out everything but mainstream news outlets, so we can finally just have the light of truth and justice from the BBC and other totally unbiased outlets. The best thing about this is that the public are just letting it happen on their watch, without any protest. Good job all.
