That just proves one thing, calling them the 82ers really gets to them, calling them Bristol sport 1982 ltd gets to them even more, that's why they are throwing our own insults back at us because they think it's gets to us, me personally I think it's funny My 82er mate, yes that's right my 82er mate text me last night to show me a snapshot of this comment I made, it has made it onto Bristol Sport 1982 ltd fans forum, who says it doesn't get to them. Keep it up boys.
I've made it on there a few times myself, sometimes deliberately saying things on here knowing it will be on OTIB within minutes.
It's like feeding monkeys at a zoo...pug-ugly monkeys at that.

One of the great unwashed calling us "The 15ers" now that is grasping at straws, absolute bunch of f"cking dinks What they seem to fail to realise is that we call them the 82 ers because they turned their backs on their club during its lowest point and went under, where as we rallied and got behind our club and didn't go under because of that. Deluded the lot of them.

Here are interesting stats. 5 seasons on the way to each club's nadir: The Excrement1978/79 mid table 1st tier ------- 22,306 1979/80 relegation 1st tier ------ 18,933 -15%1980/81 relegation 2nd tier ----- 9,765 -48%1981/82 relegation 3rd tier ------ 6,511 -33%1982/83 4th tier and bankrupt -- 4,799 -26%The Mighty Gas2010/11 3rd tier relegation ------- 6,253 2011/12 4th tier --------------------- 6,035 -3%2012/13 4th tier --------------------- 6,309 +4%2013/14 4th tier relegation ------- 6,421 +2%2014/15 Conference --------------- 6,629 +3%You can't haemorrhage fans season after season like the Excrement did and stay afloat. We stuck together as a fan base and actually gained support on our way to our lowest ebb. We were there when our club needed us the most and that makes me immensely proud. Fair to say that without that support there's no way we'd be in League 1 now and no way that the Al Qadis would have taken us over.

Attendence between those two periods of time are Significantly different.
a faier comparison would be our attendances in the seasons before Twerton and the first there

With respect, I don't think it's comparing apples with oranges at all. I've worked them out as percentage rises and falls so the actual attendances don't matter at all. There are clear comparisons to be made, for instance from both clubs' relegation from the 3rd tier and first season in the 4th tier, for example. Both clubs were at the same ground throughout the period. Your example, if I may say so, is a nonsense as it involves a club uprooting and moving 15 miles down the road to another city so obviously we lost a proportion of our fan base. We can make that comparison though, if you like, and it will still come out far more favourable than our neighbours. My point is not to show who is the bigger club. That doesn't interest me. It is to show that our fans stick by our club when they most need it. At Twerton, by the way, out attendance dropped by 23% in the first year, then climbed 11% in our second year there. By the third year we were averaging over 1000 more per match than in our last season at Eastville. Again, the resilience of our fans played a huge part in our upturn, in my opinion. Ask the players, I think they'd agree.

How many managers of ours have had public displays of hate displayed on Bristols streets?
How many opposition supporters havecbeen ambushed, outnumbered and had their legs broken?

That's because we are idiots who accept mediocrity (or less), get trodden on and won't say boo to a goose. apparently...
