A long summer ahead, and potentially a long wait for any news on anything. So while we sit twiddling, here are a few questions for the stattos. Feel free to add your own.
1) Who was the tallest player ever to wear the quarters?
2) What was the highest-ever attendance at Twerton?
3) Where is the most distant stadium from Bristol at which we have ever played? I suppose friendlies can be included, but League or Cup (of some kind) would be better.

I just googled Devon White and he was only 6'3" he looked taller than that to me. I remember a game at twerton when stockport had big Kevin Francis up front. He made our boys look like the borrowers.

Isn't the total Gas legend and all round nice guy that is Christian McClean, a few inches taller than Devon? Maybe around 6'6? Don't know if we've had anyone taller.

Technically no goalkeepers wore the quarters though so Christian McClean is the one to beat.

In 1974 the Gas did a tour of Oz, Hong Kong. I was in the RN on a world cruise and when we were in Hong Kong, they were in Oz and we went to Oz they were in Hong Kong. I literally missed them by a couple of days. Stuart Taylor must have been the tallest player and would the promotion game against the Teds our biggest gate at Twerton?

I think Stuart Taylor has been our tallest outfield player, but some keepers were taller. What about Ian McLean, the Canadian defender we once had? Edit -Wiki states only 6' 2".
The highest attendance was against Liverpool, although from memory City had the entire away end for the 1989/90 season whereas Liverpool had the segregation section empty but the family enclosure was open by then making a larger capacity.
Longest trip? For me it was Stockport County. Not direct but a business trip via Leeds and Oldham. Up at 5am and back at 1am. Lost 2-1 with Gurney sent off and admiring their building of a lovely new stand at one end. Funny how our fortunes have changed in the last few years.

Does anyone remember Will Packwood? I remember him being a giant but he did have big hair.
