Many pages written about UWE and it's clear no one has a clue what's happening. I wondered how important UWE is to you on a scale of 1 to 10.
1 means not important at all (Happy to stay at mem.)
10 means it vitally important.

7- It is very important for the club, but personally I am not going to be too upset if it falls through.

Its a 10 for me and it's definitely a 10 for the club because without it we have no chance of moving forward and we will just fester in leagues 1 & 2 for the foreseeable future. Also I'm not getting any younger, I want to be able to take my grandkids to the new stadium before I pop my clogs!

I like the Mem and there's no doubt that our club will change considerably once we move. However, taking a business view, everyone keeps telling us it is unsustainable to stay there so I guess we are going to have to move at some point, like it or not.

10 - Got to happen for the future of the club.
Me personally I like it at the Mem, good location, good pubs, good atmosphere. But for the sake of the future of BRFC, it, or something similar has to happen.

Unless we can find another site and build or somehow upgrade the Mem to 25,000 it means the difference between reaching our potential and being a premiership club, or having the Mem in its shambloic state it is and running the risk of having repeats of what has happened to BRFC over the past 21 years.
For me it's a 10 out of 10 as thats what our clubs needs.

A new stadium - 10
If it's not the UWE but we get what we need elsewhere then the UWE is a 0 for me.

That's pretty much my view too.
How long can we keep losing £1 million a year at the Mem? Wael wont stick around if he cannot progress this club and the new stadium is the main part of that.
As other have said it doesn't necessarily have to be the UWE, a build elsewhere or a Mem redevelopment would also be great. On a personal note it would be nice to see Rovers play home games in something more than a shithole for the first time since I started watching them.

A new stadium is a 10 for me, whether that be at the UWE or somewhere else doesn't matter though. To go forward as a Club need to generate new revenue streams or what we presently are and what we've recently been is all we can realistically hope for. Utg

Previous owners have let the Mem get into such a poor state we've now got no alternative but to move to a new stadium or somehow finance a complete rebuild of the Mem, if we could still get pp for the latter.
As long as I can eventually watch Rovers in a decent stadium, which is generating decent income streams, I don't really care where it is built but you sense it has now got to be away from the Mem, and the UWE could be our best chance for another 5 years or more from past experience of new stadium proposals.

Attachment DeletedStoke is a dump compared to Bristol with high unemployment and the lowest house prices anywhere, yet over 20 years ago Stoke City demolished the Victoria Ground which was far superior then to anything we've ever had.Desperate as a club to get it sorted. We are so far behind almost every other club even non league clubs near here like Telford and Stafford Rangers have better stadiums than ours.Becoming an embarrassment with Bolton fans claiming one of tented 'Stands' is like something from Chernobyl. It's a 10 from me.(Only team anywhere with tents for stands!!!!!!) Pic.Telford United.

Of course a redeveloped Mem could be so different to that which was proposed and received PP some 10? years ago.
Then, Rovers had to surround the stadium with student accommodation to enable the build. As a result the stadium seemed hemmed in and at 18000 was as big as it ever could be.
If it wasn't necessary to have all the accommodation surely there would be room to build a larger stadium, say 25000 with the space to expand if required. I know the site is in the middle od a densely populated urban environment, but PP was granted before, so shouldn't be a problem again, especially as the City Council have allowed the Sh1t to develop their sewer.
Wael could strike a deal with Aldi and develop a medium size convenience store alongside the ground, that way we could stick 2 fingers up to Shitsbutys UWE, Grafton, Carstairs, that Green Party bitch, Horfield Rose etc etc etc. We could for once be the masters of our own destiny.
Come on Wael, you know it makes sense!

Previous owners have let the Mem get into such a poor state we've now got no alternative but to move to a new stadium or somehow finance a complete rebuild of the Mem, if we could still get pp for the latter. Not sure where you are coming from Topper. It's alright giving populist arguements, but look at what you are saying. Even allowing for all the monies laid out by Wael, our capacity is 12,500. Or even 11750 due to segregation. What investment should NH or GD have made to generate money? To answer that, you need a business plan. Where is yours. It's alright giving glib answers, but in the real world a lot of planning has to go into major decisions like this. If you could get 18000 into the Mem, where would cars park? Remember that in the event of it being redeveloped, nobody would be able to park within about two miles of the ground as a result of resident only parking permits which by the way had to be funded by us. No, the only answer is that we need UWE or it's equivalent, and I believe this messing around with UWE has gone on long enough. If it's not going to happen then say so and we all move on. As they say, it's the hope that kills you.
