A total boycott is required , talk with your feet , problem is many fans will still turn up ! I went last year and will be going this year to support DC & the team, A statement which epitomises why the footballing authorities and broadcasters treat football fans like naive, ignorant, unconditionally supporting sheep. Poor show.

Poor show. I'm pretty sure the football authorities don't give a flying F##k if i go or not. I will support my team if the club want me too and by the sounds coming from our chairperson they are happy to give it a go this season

Mmmm ... Do wonder what would have happened if the sh** got relegated and we have played each other like in the previous JPT at Ashton We may yet. Yeah, if more U23s from the Championship decline the invitation, then maybe we might have to face their U23s. f**k that.

We should do a club-sponsored official boycott thing, where everyone sends £20 to the club and gets back an official certificate saying they've officially supported the club by boycotting the match, and a signed pic of DC, or someone. That way we can boycott it without harming the club.
That's the only way I see we can avoid the differences between people wanting to boycott and those wanting to support.
Especially if we have people on here calling the boycotters hypocrites for not supporting the club, etc.
Otherwise this stupid argument and division will just go on and on while Shaun Harvey wanks his tiny cock sore over the spectacle.

I know a few people (and I did too) who donated the money they would have spent on tickets to the FFSC instead.
They was the club didn't lose out, but the attendance was still affected.

I'm well up for that , I thinks that's a good idea Antonio !

The competition is just an embarrassment, guess DC will have to choose to either chase the prize money or use games as experience for the development squad.

Money Talks and they got plenty of rusky oil money to burn To be fair the subject has been argued to death but I still find it disappointing that some fans insist on supporting this competition. Don't really see the point in just being compliant and letting it happen.

Don't really see the point in just being compliant and letting it happen. Sadly the reality is that some appear unable to process the link between attending games in this competition and the continued roll out of B/U21 teams. Some things are bigger than simply 'supporting the team' and this is certainly one of them. The threat of B/U23 teams joining the league pyramid is very real and heightened by the reliance on Premier League finances which will come about following this decision.

Nothing bigger than the possibility of losing 20 football league clubs because Chelsea Reserves are playing Man Us Reserves in a League 1 fixture?

what if we start relying on the money from this Rubbish comp and in 5 years time the payments are so good it is a massive help, but then B teams opt out and take there money from the comp and screw up every league teams budget or destroy teams. Remember itvsport. We need to end this farce asap.
