Great news...the only striker we have with a great football brain and has a lot more potential, when he's not playing no one holds the ball up to build an attack... Just need Lumley signed/sweeney on loan again and a poacher next to Rory and keep hold of bodin..not asking much are we???

One of the main reasons we bounced straight back from our conference hell we should never forget that! does that mean we should carry him for the rest of his career? Sorry it's a no for me too hot and cold but mostly cold

Rory, IMO, very nice chap, just not a very good striker, surprised DC offered him a new deal, as DC said he needs to bring in better players.

He's a different option, definitely good enough to be a squad player for a top 6 side. Take a look at some of the back up players we had the last time we were here. Ben Hunt, Rene Howe, Sean Rigg and more. Gaffney certainly better than some.

Glad he's staying, was worried he'd be off like Montano. Hit good form at the end of the season.
Rory is more of a Robin than a Batman figure. If we can find a player in Matty Taylor's mound and he can keep banging them in like he did at the end of the season I think we'd be in a good position.

Personally would have kept Montano and released either one of Harrison or Gaffney - probably more inclined towards keeping Harrison. But neither IMO opinion good for a team with top 6 aspirations.

But what if DC knows Harrison has no intention of signing his new contract would you be happy to start with a complete new front line next season? DC talks about signing 3 new CF's, not 3 new strikers, which makes you wonder if Harrison is leaving but can't just leave on a free now he's been offered a new contract, if he does stay then him and Gaffers are both decent back up strikers.
Monty & Moore have shown this season they aren't consistent enough and so one had to go, unfortunately for Monty his contract was up this summer.

Maybe the reasoning behind DC offering him a contract. If he refuses and moves on Rovers will be entitled to a compensation fee as he is under 24. As I understand it either the clubs agree a fee between them or if not the EFL (or whoever) will determine.

You can guarantee Harrison to my disappointment will be announced as signed soon, I know he's going on holiday with a member of staff Too so that wouldn't happen if he was going elsewhere...waste of our time and money in my opinion and I would love to be proven wrong but it's time to have a change upfront and his hold up play and intelligence is shocking...we need to poachers and 2 hold up guys that chip in with 10-15 goals a year.. I think Rory will be that this season and we just need another fox in the box and sorted...get what you can from some desperate deluded club for Ellis and move on...

I would have rather kept monty rather than Moore in my eyes but i know it's just how the contracts have ended as I'm sure Moore would be on the list to leave as well...monty is such a frustrating one as he has bags of potential to be a great player where Moore plays in a day dream with no real idea of a game plan...we need 2 more left sides players...
