Over the last month, we have been gathering votes from you to find the best managers and players in the EFL. And after counting the votes, we have discovered you think that Bodin is the 49th best player in the Football League. It was Bristol Rovers’ first season back in Sky Bet League One following back to back promotions, and it was important that they had someone to bang in the goals in order to be a success. Of course, they had Matty Taylor, but he left the club in January to join their arch rivals Bristol City. Billy Bodin stepped up, and has become somewhat of a legend at Bristol Rovers. The Welsh striker has scored 13 goals in 37 games, nine of which have been coming on from the bench. He has also created six goals for his Rovers team mates. His performance this season shows a lot of consistency with his performance when Bristol Rovers were in Sky Bet League two, when he also scored 13, and assisted five. Bristol Rovers were unfortunate to miss out on the Play-Offs this season, as they fell narrowly short. They finished in 10th place, just seven points adrift of sixth place Millwall, who they lost to on the final day of the season. Billy Bodin will be hoping to push on next campaign, and try and help his side reach the top six in the league. the72.co.uk/80811/80811/

Most of us thought he'd be one to watch this season, but after the first few months, there were a lot of people saying that he wasn't up to it.
Well done DC for sticking with him.

It will be very interesting to see how billy gets on next season as all the clubs now know about him and his strengths and how important he can be for us... I think he can go again and have another blinder and hopefully from the off this time

Really hope I'm wrong but I think he'll be off. I know it's hard to predict, and DC will want his squad asap, but I think to jump ship before knowing who DC has for next season would be naive on Billy's front, especially knowing what he can get out of the players! DC's infectious, he's a winner, he wants to win, why would you leave? (bar money)

How do people think a front two of BB and RG would fare?

How do people think a front two of BB and RG would fare? Nah. Billy needs to move across from the right and get off one of those wicked left foot shots from around the penalty area. When he moves inside like that it causes the opposition defence the shits because he then opens space down the flank for Danny to overlap. Imagine if DC can get a player similar to Billy on the left flank. Oh joy!

How do people think a front two of BB and RG would fare? Not sure..I think Billy is better standing defenders up rather than off the shoulder. Rory peels wide quite often aswell so we wouldn't really have a number 9.

How do people think a front two of BB and RG would fare? Billy is at his best running at defenders not with his back to goal.

To be fair atm BB is a one-trick pony. He gets the ball thirty yards out on the right. He fakes to go outside, and then steps inside, confusing his marker. Then he takes another touch inside. Then, as he's closed down by a defender, he takes another touch inside. Then he rifles it into the top corner. Every time. I agree we need to change his position coz it's starting to get a bit boring.

The great thing about Bodin is just when defenders started to learn his faint to go right then go left and shoot he started to do the opposite and scored a few screamers with his right too. Quality player is Billy.

Quality, quality player. A match winner who can create something something out of nothing and a real pleasure to watch. I hope we can tie him down to a longer contract - losing a player of his class on a free next summer would be a nightmare.

DC said on the radio he thinks his position is out on the wing. He had a spell up front but wasn't half as effective.
He also said he would like a similar player on the other wing. It would be fantastic if we could do that.
