Did you miss the "don't" in your sentence Henbury? Only I assumed that was more your personal viewpoint?

It depends what you mean by "quality"?
We have plenty of players at the club now who I wouldn't use the word "quality" for, but are not bad either.

I would be happy if he only managed 4 - keeper centre half and 2 forwards

Henbury - Quick Q
When you say "with some loans", is that in addition to the 1-5 and 6-11 players or as part of them? I.e.
1-5/6-11 players plus some loans 1-5/6-11 players of which some loans

Yes, I think we will see 3 or 4 loans included in the players recruited. That said, I think in some positions we do really need to recruit our own who will be with us for for more than a season. in particular, we really do need our own keeper and at least one of the strikers must surely be a permanent signing. If we rely too much on loans then we are just deferring the development of a squad that could compete at the next level.

if we sign 3 strikers I would like 2 of those being permanent. if we sign 3 and the 2 on loan turn out to be the better than the rest, we could end up again end of next season looking for a new strikeforce.

Fair comment, but I can't see him bringing in 10/11 players of league 1 quality or above? What he did say in that interview was, that until he finalises his budget he won't know what caliber of players he will be bringing in?

David wheeler looks quality. DC said he wanted a winger who could cut inside and wheeler could be the man.

Who knows it's all guess work so I don't see the point. What's important is that he builds a squad for next season that improves on what we've achieved this season. I wouldn't be surprised if most of us have never heard of his new signings and then we went on to achieve a higher league position than last season. After all that's what we've done the last three seasons isn't it ? People were taking the water out of Lumley before he'd played a game, that's just one example of the " underwhelmed " nature of the reactions of a lot of our fan base. Whoever DC signs this summer I won't be underwhelmed or overwhelmed until the season starts and we see them in action and I'd urge the rest of our supporters to do the same. Ever new player arrives at a club with a clean slate and we get behind them and support them from day one is the way I see it.
