Always been impressed by Bradford City's effort to get the next generation to be Bradford fans not Manchester united or Liverpool or Chelsea etc. Its one of the countries biggest cities so shouls really have a top flight team that's well supported. There is always competition with rugby league and Leeds united to steal fans I guess. A bit like how mr Lansdowne probably thought moving Bristol rugby to ashton gate would put their games on at the same time as Bristol Rovers and so might decrease Rovers gate.
Bradford citys valley parade is one of the old school build it as we go along stadiums controlled by available space . Not a perfectly conceived designer stadium but one with some unique character. Bradford city are definitely in my yeah proper club list not my Nah plastic franchise clubs.

You talk about seeing a thought process but I'm not sure what thought goes into effectively giving season tickets away, is it resulting in increased sales year on year or just virtually giving tickets away to get fans to turn up? Somehow our owners seem to have mastered the trick of increasing season ticket sales without reducing prices, although they are still apparently losing a £1m+ p.a. Our turnover & revenue is increasing just on a gradual basis. We are running in the black. I don't think giving tickets away is correct, we've made over 2m from season ticket sales for next season already which will be more than nearly every club in L1. The thought process is we will are still increasing our revenue whilst effectively charging half the price of most other clubs at our level. There is a knock on effect of averaging 18k with things like merchandising, food & drink, sponsors etc. I think we sold 12/13k shirts last season which is good at our level. They also think it helps the players playing in front of a nearly full stadium with a raucous atmosphere instead of one where there are vast amounts of empty seats. The fact we are about 30 unbeaten at home in the league would suggest there is something in that. As a club we the fans feel like we are being looked after which means it's a positive place to be.
