Has there got to be blame? Where there's a blame, there's a claim

I'd be surprised if there is not interest from other clubs in Billy. I really hope he stays but if he wants a move then there is little the club can do apart from negotiating a good fee. Hope we try to extend his contract and if he does not want to then selling might be in the interest of the club to avoid him running down his contact and so reduce the fee. Lets hope he stays and does not decide the move in the last days of the transfer window and leaving us struggling to replace

Yep , Forest green rovers. I used to have a parking spot near the stadium, my daughter has now moved so it is no longer available. We would be better off ground sharing with W-S-M (joke) if you want a transport solution to and from games.

I'll be honest and say I'd rather this thread was about fitted kitchens in Leeds or Hardwood furniture in Carlisle.

Nothing is secret in todays world for very long, if there was an offer im sure it would be spouted out by someone. I remember going to Portsmouth game last year and people talking about the take over before it was made public.

Would be seriously disappointed to lose Billy .... for me it would question our own ambition.
No words from DC would convince me that we couldn't have kept him .... we would seriously need to bring in some very high quality to replace ... I know it's only conjecture but my buoyant mood of pushing on next season is starting to be seriously tested with these types of post !,

It's all just rumours and speculation, Billy Bob will stay and we will sign Carayol. Imagine them 2 one on each wing they would rip some defences apart! Now that I would like to see.

Carayol from a few years ago maybe, seems to have had a few injury problems but a fully fit Carayol with Bodin would be lethal.

If billy left in the summer (strong feeling it could happen)obviously everyone would be devastated would you blame him or the club??? Depends how much we let him go for. He does only have a year left but we need to make a statement that we aren't a selling club. Anything less than £500k and I would be disappointed. Apparently the reason a lot of championship clubs wouldn't sign Taylor is because he is the sort of striker that needs to play as part of 2 up front and a lot of teams in the championship don't play like that anymore. They will have say 1 up front then the 3 behind. Based on this, he could be in high demand from a championship club as he would be very useful on the right hand side.
Hmm, its a bit convenient for me how City were the only one ones willing to 'take a punt' on someone who was set to score over 20 goals again.
As for Billy, he has repaid us over the last couple of years for taking a chance and being patient with him, so doesn't owe us anything more imo. If his head gets turned over the summer then he will be off....we all know what agents are like! You just hope that if it does happen then we get the best possible deal for him.
A cheap sell so soon after the Taylor move would be a bitter pill to swallow.

We hold the cards until that contract ends. To our knowledge, he doesn't have a release fee so it's certainly not a case of him deciding when he leaves whilst under contract.

Why would it be inevitable? I like to think that the new ownership will bring about a change in mindset. Selling your best players is a pretty flawed strategy if you have genuine plans to progress.

Yeah that would be great, Billy Bob cutting in from the right and Carayol cutting in from the left. Awsome! The defenders would be like Michael Barrymores wife, they wouldn't know which way to turn.
