No landing lights, we are totally in the dark!! The least positive he has ever sounded about uwe. I get the feeling a mem redevelopment is coming.

One poster on here not to long ago said Wael said "we got the ground and it's not if it's when we move in" well in that interview it doesn't sound like it, to me that sounds 50 50

All good with exception of UWE ...keep talking till one or other side gives up is not a very encouraging message. Interesting to hear comparisons with Brentford and Burton ground capacities. If we got to the Championship would need all seater stadium for the start of the fourth season in that division.

Cracking interview that.
My only worry is we get to the stage where we wont be able to accomodate fans at the Mem.
Such a gradual, more professional feel about the club with everything, and I think that may start to upset some stalwart fans who prefer the ragbag rovers feel. Excited but anxious to see where the club's going!
Regarding DC, I think it massively helped us finishing 10th and not in the playoffs, with respect to keeping him. I know anything could happen over the next 2 months but the fact he hasn't been linked with another club is heartening. And the fact he now has a top 6 budget should put everyone's mind at ease!

Very interesting to hear that DC has been given a top 6 budget. Until we know the other 22 club's budgets for next season then how can we say ours is top 6? Bury seem to be out spending us at the moment. Although personally I'd sooner have a mid table budget and a new ground to look forward to in a couple of years.

Not really, he was quite negative about the stadium, said that both sides will continue to talk until either side decides to pull out. Other than the stadium he was incredibly positive and optimistic.

Very interesting to hear that DC has been given a top 6 budget. It annoys me when people make comments like this! How the * does he know? Has he rang around every other club asking what their budget is for the season and then made a league table up of them?

Yes quite right, will have data on past seasons but not on next one, should have said we have a competitive budget which we believe will be in the top six for our division.

Think he is just fed up with being asked about Uwe! Didn't he say negotiations are ongoing and happening as we speak?? Surely saying that is a good sign. Still working on it, still in talks etc.

Sounds to me the UWE talks are going nowhere but there's no real Plan B if we do get promoted. A top 6 budget and a new training ground is pointless if we don't do something about a new ground/rebuilding the Mem PDQ.

Thought it a very good interview and welcome news on all fronts.
Hamer talked well about most things, maybe stuttered slightly at the UWE update ( I definitely think now that it won't happen as The AQs won't accept the same crap as desperate Higgs was prepared to agree to ) but it all felt genuine and left me excited about who we will be bringing in to the club.
Interesting for him to compare our situation with Brentford and Burton but they clearly have a plan.
Refreshing to hear positive honest words from our Chairman unlike in the past when you knew the Chairman / Owner was lying because his lips were moving !!

Good positive interview that! Whatever comes of UWE, this club is in the best shape it's been in for years - on and off the pitch. Did he mention the sale of the club? Didn't get that bit?

Right, any good local netball teams to follow?
