Out of interest, because it might help with both opinions, does anyone actually know figures for U11 season ticket holders over recent seasons?

I'm not 100% sure what the above means. It wasn't a season ticket game, though season ticket holders were guaranteed a place (or not as was the case for many in this instance!) The crowd was boosted on the back of a favorable cup draw. Had that not been the case, I doubt we'd sell that game out. On a separate point, I'd allow season ticket holders in for free on Bristol Street Motors (as it is now) games. Well, we're not selling out the ground so surely a taken space is better than one not taken. If we were running at capacity or near capacity every game I could understand it more but we're miles off. Ah, fair point. But I'd attempt to fill that space on a match by match basis - quid a kid, free school tickets etc, which brings in a number of full paying adults, probably generating greater revenue than heavily discounted child season tickets. And, just to clarify, I am in favour of reintroducing the age banding I mentioned in my first post.

I want to put a slight counter point to the matter of heavily discounted child season tickets. Once a season ticket is sold, that space is gone on match day, so if the ticket holder doesn't turn up, there is a space left unfilled. If child season tickets were heavily discounted then I'm sure there will be many (not all) who would get one on a just in case / we'll go the the big games only basis. That doesn't help the club. Counter counter point... We've sold out one game this season which wasn't a Season Ticketed game anyway. I'm not 100% sure what the above means. A lot has already been posted about prices, so I won't go there for long. However, I recall not that long ago there being categories for U11, 12-18,18-21,Adult and over 65 as well as the family saver, all of which seemed perfectly sensible to me. I took advantage of the family saver and my 2 lads are now adult season ticket holders, a little proof of the scheme working, so glad to see that back.
I want to put a slight counter point to the matter of heavily discounted child season tickets.

What will help, and will encourage younger supporters is incentives like quid a kid / free program / burger / signed player pic etc and the club should communicate that this will continue going forward.
As the capacity increases, so does the ability to offer greater discounts on tickets. As has been posted, we're in a so so season, and still doing fairly well on attendance figures.
Add to that, if we want a decent squad with minimal loans we (will) have to pay decent wages without significant TV money or sponsorship.

What is happening to those who originally had season tickets for the South Stand this season? Will they be moved there once its 100% open or just stay put wherever they were moved to for the rest of this season? I think they have already moved. Nobody has South Stand season tickets this season as we were all moved last season to the SW stand or other areas of the ground. Now that the South Stand is open, and having sat there for the last few games, I will certainly be moving our season tickets back there for next season. The view is great from the higher rows and far better than the SW stand. This season has been unsatisfactory as a season ticket holder. We've gone from no seats to standing to seats wherever they could be found to unreserved temporary seats to unreserved permanent seats and, as it stands, to reserved seats - albeit different ones for each game!

Despite having 3 S/Ts assigned to my account it will only let me buy one, still a joke. I think you need to log in to each account separately.

And guess what The club sorted it in under 24 hours. STHās get an option to buy a ticket Mistakes happen and they rectified. As for communication throughout the day - well Iād rather they focused on fixing it than replying to all the happy clappers. I for one say well done to the club for sorting it. UTG At the time, seriously unhappy clappers

Clearly some party has messed up. What seems to be the issue is that rather than have a season ticket purchase window, the club, presumably due to time constraints, went for general sale with reserved tickets for season ticket holders. I've never seen this done before so guess the club has no experience of it either. All could have been avoided if general sale was held until Wednesday evening, which is what was implied by the ticketing message. Ticketmaster run presales for select groups all the time so, unfortunately, it seems this is a club error. Fingers crossed all gets sorted. The message suggested all tickets were going on sale apart from the seats? If the club relayed a similar message to TM then they could have just put all the terraces tickets on sale, the social media silence from the club makes you wonder if TM did do that. As somebody else posted perhaps they never accepted a sell out last night?Ā My fault - read that wrong! Still can't see why there was a need for general sale straightaway for a game 10 days away though. A 2 day season ticket window would have kept everyone happy. If it ain't broke, don't try to fix it.

Have you logged into your rovers ticketing account? Not the website. Itās the web address that starts āeticketing.co.ukā āNorwich City FA Cup Third roundā replay should be right there on the first screen after entering, with a find tickets option. I donāt have an actual seat but an East Terrace ST that has a random seat number printed on the card. Definitely logged into ticketing account. If I could figure out how to post a screenshot, I'd show you.

Tickets for STH are there, people just gotta ease on the panic and actually locate it. They're not.

As a SW stand season ticket holder was able to login and reserve 3 seats for our linked account.
My son who has a Thatchers season ticket did not have one reserved nor could he buy a seat. Luckily, I bought a fourth ticket next to ours.
Not great if a large number of standing season ticket holders were unable to buy tickets.
Is it possible that standing season tickets were released but people maybe bought more than just 1 per ticket? Can't believe all standing tickets have sold out already as many won't see the mail /tweet till tomorrow morning.

That's not going to be ready much before Christmas, is it? Hope to be wrong as am an optimist by nature (essential for a Gashead), but it doesn't look favourite. Interesting comms on their way soon, surely. If it is done on time i'd definitely want to see that safety certificate Me too, as I've spent Ā£400 to sit in it!

Thing is Pirate I agree that Belshaw wasnāt as good last season compared to his performances the season before but heās nowhere near as bad as being made outā¦ My argument is that unless you make weighted adjustments to compensate for the fact that if youāre in goal and facing a higher volume of shots then the probability of not saving and conceding is much higher. Itās like when watching a game and you are completely under the cosh then the likelihood of you not conceding is much lower and as a keeper you are more exposed meaning you are worked harder and percentages of concentration lapses, mental tiredness, physical tiredness etc goes upā¦ itās not just solely down to the keeper. Likewise unless you are comparing the exact same number of games against the same opponents and teams then again itās not a like for like comparison as the more games you play the higher likelihood of conceding etc - especially with a poor defence in front of you and the same team can have a stronger or weaker line up that you are facing based upon availability, form and transfers etc etc so again (exaggerated but youāll get my drift - one keeper could be facing Messi whereas the other Loft) Unless you are comparing the keepers playing the same number of games in same conditions (as that also effects things), with exactly same teams or at least adjustments are made to compensate then the stats are not completely comparable or a true reflection I agree with you to some extent, but all we have to go with is the data, metrics, algorithms etc available in the public domain and that combined with our own eye test clearly suggest (to me anyway) he isn't good enough for a team with ambitions to push for playoffs. It's actually much simpler than that. Last season we generally played poorly as a team, the season before we generally played well. It wouldn't have made much difference who was in goal.

Could we not have one game with a reduced capacity? Or do we legally have to offer Barnsley some seats? Donāt know about offering away seats, but there is a minimum amount of tickets need to be offered to visiting clubs, but Iāve heard we have sold best part of 400 season tickets seats for the new area, which could be a problem to move, due to the lack of seat availability in the 2 main stands. Which is exactly my concern. Having bought and paid for Season tickets, I am expecting to have those seats available in August. There is no other seated availability so a lot of disgruntled season ticket holders in waiting. As ever though, I live in hope!

Personally I donāt care a jot for the respect of the ref on the field. The deference and bootlicking in rugby I find distasteful. Thereās nothing wrong with appealing decisions. When your mate has just had a studs up knee high challenge, try stopping players protesting. Football is a distinctly faster and more intense game than rugby or cricket. Thatās why itās more popular. Also the concept of respecting authority for authorities sake is a bad one for youth. You should always teach kids to question authority, the reverence of age, position and power as an absolute is what allowed so many abuses of that power in the past. The entire history of most religions and most nations - sending men into barbed wire for no good reason, is another example. As for cheating thatās easy. Video review panels who assess games in retrospect and where the camera proves no contact, but a dive resulted in an advantage, a 5-10 game ban for that player. That will almost immediately stamp it out. Rather than stop the game. No player wants a quarter of a season out for one penalty. The punishment has to be greater than the advantage. This would have the abnormally of big games like finals being worth the risk, but these have rigorous VAR anyway. It might be an idea to let the rules also allow more physical styles. The premier league is the most successful in the world for a reason. Itās physical and also goods. As soon fifa got out of the control of the English league, they have consistently changed the rules to favour southern and med teams (and a America) because the physical styles suit the Northern European and African teams and their smaller, faster players do a lot better when you canāt tackle them. Diving would be less of an advantage if refs just let challenges go more. As it stands, the game is close to non contact at the top level, because they want the Messiās, iniestas etc winning things and not the drogbas etc. itās no surprise since it changed suddenly Spain are a serious world force. The answer is that people dive because the authorities would rather have a game of diving than a game where physicality can win games. You can either have one or the other. Cheats who dive or physical football. Apologies for the old school player examples but I donāt watch anything except the league rovers are in, prem and European football lost its appeal for me a long time ago. You make some good points though I disagree with your first paragraph. Rugby is far more physical, equally intense and runs the risk of significantly more serious injuries. The respect shown to referees does not lessen any of that.

I'm old enough to say I ran the line to Gurnam Singh in Football League game.
Players and managers have to set the example with regard to respect for referees. It can be incredibly difficult to referee a match when players from both sides set out to play at the very edge, and often beyond, the laws of the game.
Take JB for example. Will continually complain about referees and their attitude towards him but effectively shut Belly out at the first hint of dissent. If the sanctions for dissent were stronger, it could all but be eradicated from the game.
Take it out of the game and it probably would improve the standard of officiating. Mistakes would still be made but the pressure around them would be reduced. Most players make far more mistakes in a game than the officials though we don't treat them in the same way.
I can't think of any occasion where relaying the referee's decision and reasoning to the crowd will help in the current climate. I don't even think allowing the coaching staff to hear in real time will help if they are unable to control how they react.
Would full time referees help? Only if you think the standard is higher in the Premier League - the back pages of the papers suggest it isn't.
