The flight was delayed, it wasn't scheduled to get in at that time. When the delay came through it would have been far too late to postpone the game. Use your loaf. It was delayed by 1 hour. The issue therefore still stands that a flight into airport at 12.30am, with transport to be made to various different areas, then an 11.30 start at Mem is highly unusual. Anyone can clearly see that. It doesn't mean people are against the club or have no clue about football. Home by 2am and then 7/8 hours kip with plenty of time to get to the Mem. Personally I don't see how that's 'highly unusual' but then I've never been involved in the arranging of a pre-season schedule for a professional football club so maybe I'm wrong. I'm well aware of how long the delay was. Whether or not the hour is enough for a significant impact on today's performance, who knows? What irks me is that I do know that of Darrell Clarke's previous three pre-season programmes as Bristol Rovers' manager, 2 have preceded promotion and one has preceded our highest league finish in nearly 20 years. I think we can cut him some slack, no?

I was thinking you might go for nazi , try to have a talk about things rather than throw insults. You come over as someone who might have voted more than once at the election. A guilty conscience will do that.

Perhaps if I was a mind reader it would help as I how was I supposed to know the flight was delayed? Regardless flying home one day/playing the next is hardly the best of planning neither does playing Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday. Perhaps if you didn't make ill-informed assumptions it would help too.

"Bean burgers at Forest Green will inevitably lead to the destruction of British culture as I know it." Can you actually hear yourself? I can hear how naive you are. Haha ok stormfrontgas.

"Forest Green only serve bean burgers? OMG I'm SO oppressed!" Pathetic. Thin edge. "Bean burgers at Forest Green will inevitably lead to the destruction of British culture as I know it." Can you actually hear yourself?

Guy's you are just not getting it, as a pretty much 'standard' Brit, you must do what ever ANY minority group wants. On the bright side, one day you will be the minority, at which time you can say 'you must all do what I want now', this is when you are told 'F off and live somewhere else, you are not wanted here' "Forest Green only serve bean burgers? OMG I'm SO oppressed!" Pathetic.

Can we just leave the pre season arrangements to the real experts please... DC knows exactly what he is doing , is happy with the schedule and today our lads got another stage readier for the start of the season. The result is totally irrelevant! Does he? How many of us would have agreed to play in a football match today if we knew we weren't getting home until 3am this morning, why didn't we just ask FGR to put this game back 24 hours so we got some benefit out of the game? Players wise, DC needs to sort out the CH & LW positions so or later, plus 1 goal in our last 3 games suggests we're still lacking fire power upfront. The flight was delayed, it wasn't scheduled to get in at that time. When the delay came through it would have been far too late to postpone the game. Use your loaf.

You can't please everyone all of the time and no one's stopping you taking a bacon sandwich in. Are you inviting several thousand unknown individuals in to your home every other week? No? Well your comparison is a false one then. I honestly despise FGR but anyone that gets up in arms over the vegan food needs to get over themselves. What do numbers have to do with the discussion? It's about respect to visitors. That goes for any entity. You should not impose your personal views on people you are supposed to be welcoming in. Totally ignorant in my book. Peter Parker - the host is the one who should be sucking it up, not the guest - home or away guests. Because there's a big difference between getting some bourbon biscuits in for Aunt Mable even though you don't eat them, and operating a business within the boundaries of what you believe to be ethical and moral. Jesus wept. Should Rovers give away fans the North Terrace because the away terrace is uncovered? Should all clubs have to serve halal and kosher and not play games on holy days in case some of the 'guests' are religious? Should there be a standardised food and drink menu across every football stadia in the country? Standardised ticket prices? And merchandise available? When you go to an away match you are buying in to the whole day, not just the football. If you find the vegan hospitality at Forest Green unacceptable then don't go. You've no divine right to go to any ground in this country and you've certainly no right to dictate their food and drink options you daft git.

It's his ground, he can sit visiting fans where he likes and can serve whatever food he likes. You don't have to go and you don't have to eat. The food at the Mem is sh**e. Hello Hugo. I have long respected the points of view you have. You certainly made this hornet's nest a better place. I would totally agree with you if the vegan food were the product on offer and everyone visiting were there to enjoy that product. It's not; the football is the product on offer and you are catering for those who you are hosting including your own supporters. If people come to my house I treat them with the respect their views deserve; not my own views. Even more so if they are strangers or I own a business which is catering for them. Common decency in my book.

Losing to a club just promoted from the conference in the rain at their ground we're useless .Yes, you can make excuses, we haven't had much sleep, it's only pre season, it's not likely to be the starting 11, it doesn't matter, we've done very well and played some nice football in every other match, but really! We're doomed. You alright pal?

Presumably those against a female Dr Who would also refuse an appointment with a female GP?
Grow up for f*ck sake it's Dr Who not Mr Who 😂
The real issue here is that Dr Who is sh*te regardless of the title character's gender and has always been a waste of license payers' money.

Away shirt completely ruined by an absolutely pathetic sponsor. Not sure who would have been ultimately responsible as that is not their company logo (which is half decent) but that is seriously disappointing considering that's otherwise the best away shirt we've ever had.

Connor @cpufchatton Did we make profit on what we signed him for Darragh MacAnthony @dmac102 What do you think? I'm thinking that means no. He prides himself on making a profit on players so the fact he's answered a question with a question tells me that's the easy way out. I'm sure he'd have given a much more definite answer to boost his already inflated ego if they had made a profit on him. That's definitely meant to be a rhetorical question - implying that they absolutely did! Reckon we paid 300k ish for him, so let's hope he finds the sort of form Taylor did...

Think beyond the narrow confines of party labels. The old order is under real pressure. Labour's campaign of lies and false promises already unravelling. Labour controlled Welsh Assembly INCREASING tuition fees. www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-politics-40568065Behave. It's pretty damned difficult to enact policy when you haven't formed government. These increases are a result of Tory cuts not Labour policy. I presume from your indignation that you support lower fees, or even the scrapping of fees.

Joe Kuffour was incredible! Jo Kuffour was the most infuriating player I've ever seen in a Rovers shirt. Quick and agile and a half decent finisher and he spent 99.9% of his time facing the wrong way and backing in to defenders twice his size while crouched over the ball. Bizarre.

Named on the bench for their friendly at Tiverton but is nowhere to be seen according to PAFC fans on Twitter. Looks like he's going somewhere...
