Does Norwich count? In the second half anyway, thought they were quite poor in the first.

Surely the transfer would pay itself off in the amount of merchandise and ifollow passes sold to Indonesian fans.

Just remember this season a certain someone created our 'best ever' squad which included a fee for Connor Taylor. Don't think the fee for Aaron Collins will paper over many, it any, cracks. Scary thing is - these accounts relate to last season not this season. This is why I’m not too worried about a reduction in budget of 25%. We have clearly been living beyond our means I think the budget reduction may turn out to be a good thing. It will encourage us to think about getting value out of our transfer business and finding players that have sell on potential. The blank cheque approach on established players at or past their primes clearly hasn’t worked.

This was a fairly talented bunch of players, not the best squad we’ve ever had by no means, but not a squad that should be performing the way it has been over the last couple of months.
If the players have checked out, you give them a rollicking, you promote youth players and you try new things. It’s a pretty grim time to be a supporter with nothing to play for and no connection to players, so naturally we look to the manager to instil confidence that better things are around the corner.
I’ve not seen anything from Taylor that inspires confidence in me that even if we have a good summers recruitment, he’s going to get the best out of the group. Utterly tactically inept and clearly he hasn’t connected with the fan base either.
Feel sorry for the bloke but he’s got to go.

Tisdale got sacked after a poor run of form without getting a summer transfer window. It’s not impossible.

Seems like the Bristol post has opened a hornets nest with this one. It would seem they instigated the interview, accepted what Janue Hedges said as fact and then asked JB for his comments. What on earth did they expect by doing so, after all there is always two sides to every story and if as threatened JB takes them or Jamie to court it’s not a forgone conclusion who would win the case. If Barton takes them to court, he'd have to prove that Jamie was leaking sensitive information to the press.
Jamie's just got to prove that Barton told him to do 50 keepy uppies, which Barton's already admitted to. In the article...
Jamie's not made any libellous accusations in that article that I can see. It's a free country, you can express an opinion.
More hot air.

I'd rather see a bad squad of players give their all for the club than a decent squad of players not try. That is what is most frustrating about the present situation. The one thing giving me hope for this summer is the overhauled recruitment team, it sounds like we've finally got our act together in that department. We'll have a Director of Football, Head of Recruitment and Head of Data and Analysis working on it, so hopefully they'll deliver results. I think this season has shown us that it's not necessarily players with impressive CV's that we need to attract, but players with the right character, attitude and scope to be developed further. We weren’t performing at 100% in the early part of this season by any means but I can’t remember such widespread accusations of the same players downing tools etc. I get if we’d over estimated the players abilities and they were performing at a lower level than we hoped but the response/attitude of the players to MT and what this means going forward is quite worrying. The accusations stem from the fact that it's approaching the end of the season, and they're playing for a manager that didn't recruit them.
Therefore it's easier to create a narrative (rightly or wrongly) that the players have downed tools, rather than accept the fact that quality in the squad is just not there.
Personally think it's a little bit of both, and having the likes of Grant Ward and Jack Hunt out hasn't helped.
I actually think the loss of Collins has hit us a bit harder than first thought.
Sure Collins wasn't setting the world alight this season for us, but we just can't seem to fashion chances in the way that we were able to before.
Hoole and Gordan are not the full back pairing that we need and hopefully that is recognised after today.

What DC is doing at Cheltenham I have no idea. JB still out of work. I’d give them both a ring, see who wants to come back. I'd rather defacate on my hands and clap than have JB back as manager.

The sh*t at The Mem, it’s been too long. Full respect to Crewe though, we’ve still got to through them obviously. We’ll be drawn at home to City and produce the most dreadful performance away at Crewe and lose the tie 3-1. You just know it would happen.

The owners are business people so return on investment is the key part. Sometimes you’ve got to spend a bit of money to make a bit of money. Demolishing the East stand and rebuilding might cost a fortune, but if it makes the club sustainable in the longer term, that’s less millions the owners will have to inject into the club to cover losses down the line. I think grants, low interest loans, fundraising and transfer fees should be looked at as a legitimate way of enabling this as well if it’s too much for the owners to stump up. AFC Wimbledon fundraised part of their new stadium as a fan owned club, we’re talking about a couple of stands that can be slowly developed over a period of time.

Not triggered by anything, GGMI. 👍🏻 Guessing you didn’t read the post by a mod saying not to use people’s name unless they’re happy about it ? Yes, just a reminder no using people’s real names unless they’re happy to be called by them on here. Have edited Gasdust’s posts.

Yes, apparently if you attend most games and your best mate is an ex City manager then you're a top tier fan. 👍 Someone sent me your screenshots Gavin, why Matt Phillips wanted to come to your house, the good old WhatsApp group you got outed in. Keep throwing stones at my windows, I’ve got a paving slab here 👍 Please no personal comments. GGMI prefers to be known by his forum username, let’s respect that and take any quarrels offline. Will redact any references to personal stuff.
