Christ this government is a joke. In a desperate attempt to change the headlines last time Boris brought in restrictions on the country. In such desperation to change it yet again, he’s now removing them and going one further: if you test positive there will be no isolation, go out and spread it. He is so desperate that he is now going to essentially allow his own citizens to die in order to save his job. Thing is at what point do we stop. We are getting to (or at) the point where anyone who wants to be vaccinated is. Do we isolate to protect those that have chosen not to be vaccinated? I read in the news yesterday about a Czech lady who chose to catch covid so she could be "free" and she sadly died from it.

So, what does everyone think about the pedestrianisation of Norwich city centre They do say it will help people in wheel chairs Yeah, but f**k those guys, you have to bend down to punch them in the face, and you can't even sit in their allocated seats either. When will the madness end?

Is it possible to support the team but dislike Barton? Asking for a friend? That’s like being a Catholic but hating the Pope ;-) Well, I know for a fact that's possible. Woo hoo!!

Over 7k on Saturday, 3k travelling to Swindon, if we can get a run going, we’re gonna be getting 9k at home. Why not stop wasting negative energy, on whether you like someone or not, and put that energy into supporting your team! UTG Is it possible to support the team but dislike Barton? Asking for a friend?

Yep. Aiming to get the 07:43am train from Parkway to Temple Meads. It should arrive at 07:54 and give me just enough time to change platforms to get the 08:13am train to Swindon. What could possibly go wrong? Sorry if I've missed something obvious, but why are you and Dirt Dogg leaving so early? It can't be to take in the sights of Swindon before a one o'clock kickoff? Gives you more time to select someone else's seat.

You are very mistaken. My replies on this thread are in relation to the singular issue of whether Barton is a suitable person to lead and manage our football club. Other than that, you know nothing about me. So your definition of being suitable to run a football club isn’t merely to be good at managing a football club, you feel good character and repute is important? That’s probably where we disagree, I have a fundamental problem with picking leaders on the basis of moral character and repute, excepting where the position is in the rendering of moral or ethical issues, for example, a judge or police officer. The reason for this is you end up with a society where people are picked not for their skill of professionalism but on cultivating a public image, and in my experience, the absolute worst Specimens you will ever meet have dedicated a lifetime to an outward appearance of altruism to garner the trust they need. Hence, I’m sceptical of moral invigilation as described above and certainly less so for something like being hot headed. If he had masterminded a large Ponzi scheme or fraud racket I might think differently. So you actually agree with me. "excepting where the position is in the rendering of moral or ethical issues" Don't you think that the person in charge of a group of young men including teenagers in the youth/academy team should be there to help shape and guide them in more than just football? Hasn't that forever been part of the managers role? How is a football manager any different to a teacher for example? So long as your kid learns what 2+2 is, is it OK if they see their teacher fighting in the car park or see them in court or go to prison? I agree that for many jobs, your history and background makes no difference.

No I’ve had fights, not proud and I wouldn’t recommend anyone to do the same, I grew up. Personally think Hugo is the bigger man by not getting involved in trouble. So you’re guilty of assault then. You just didn’t get caught. Not if you are defending yourself against an unprovoked attack under common law. You could justifiably strike someone in order to get away or to prevent further harm to yourself.

Perhaps it describes Hugo, an adult, not needing to fight like a petulant teenager. Yes, you can both sit on your little cloud with your harps and your halos pointing fingers of condemnation and derision at the dammed. You are very mistaken. That would probably explain it. Perhaps it describes Hugo, an adult, not needing to fight like a petulant teenager. Yeah, the "as an adult" part was seemingly overlooked.

That would probably explain it. Explain what? That I'm not a mindless thug with a long history of violence and assaults? Do you need to be to think it's a good idea to have Barton at the club? That would probably explain it.

How many times have you been to prison and been convicted of assault? How many court cases for domestic violence do you have outstanding? Are you responsible for the development of a group of young men and teenagers? In the context of Barton, I'm definitely without sin. Get him out of our club. Have you had a fight as an adult? No.

Just on another note, we didn’t like Westbrooke because he didn’t have the fight in him and wasn’t up for the ruck. We apparently don’t like Barton because he has too much fight in him and is too up for the ruck. Make your minds up! A ridiculous, false dichotomy as well you know.

Couldn’t care less about anything except if he can manage us effectively. Not interested in moral grandstanding, let he who is without sin cast the first stone. How many times have you been to prison and been convicted of assault? How many court cases for domestic violence do you have outstanding? Are you responsible for the development of a group of young men and teenagers? In the context of Barton, I'm definitely without sin. Get him out of our club.

We have a far right government. The last thing we need is a far left opposition. For the love of God, please just give me a credible centre left party so I can actually start voting again. Oh come on Hugo, you're a bright guy. You had your 'centre left' party in Blair and it was a f*cking disaster... We got a disgusting Tory gov out if it! And you wanna do it again?! Blair was centre right!

if they are all the same, what is the point in voting for one? seems like too much a load of b*llocks to be taken seriously. I'd vote for a cummunist party, if one existed. I think there is a dividing line between Labour and this latest incarnation of the Tory party and how far they’ve lurched to the right in the last few years. Although I definitely wouldn’t vote for a communist party , for the good a British politics I think there should be another party on the far left . With first past the post this obvs would help to hand power to the Tories again . The sooner we get proportional representation the better imo . Id have a Labour Party every single time over this current bunch of bloody loons , Corbyn included ! We have a far right government. The last thing we need is a far left opposition. For the love of God, please just give me a credible centre left party so I can actually start voting again.

I understood you were not suggesting WE should built a team around him. Maybe a conference team could. That’s probably his best option for the time being. I find the disadain for him quite unusual. I didn’t think he was that bad, as I say, I think it’s his lack of headless chicken action. Yeah, I thought he was OK. I guess I thought we signed someone who was going to kick on and that's why I was disappointed. Certainly not awful though.

Imagine building a team around Westbrooke 🤣 My lads under 5 team would give them a pasting I’m not sure you understand. ZW is the same type of player as Evans. He wasn’t as good. If he can’t play that position, he’s a passenger. Perhaps “team built around him” was a poor choice of words. More “he needs a free role as he won’t be tackling and tracking back” For the record, we have had countless players worse than ZW. He didn’t do great other than a few games last season. I think football fans in general don’t like players who don’t run around a lot. I understood you were not suggesting WE should built a team around him. Maybe a conference team could.

Zain is a number 10 not a mid. He needs a team built around him, and we have a better option in Evans. That may be true, but to build a team around someone they need to show a lot more than he did for us. Another disappointing signing.
