Surely people can see why others wouldn't want Barton? Even if they don't agree, surely you can understand and respect that. Not comfortable with some of the comments on here lately. Feels like Trumpism 😂trumpism, that’s right bring politics into it,whilst your still there chick in a racism card too

Out of interest and your obviously quite entitled to your opinion but what exactly are you expecting the club to do ? Are you suggesting that anyone who doesn't agree with the choice of new manager should be refunded ? Does that mean anyone who didnt want Garner or Tisdale can claim a partial refund for the games they were in charge ? We've appointed plenty of managers I haven't agreed with over the years. This one would cross a line. RE: refund - any season ticket holder in theory should be refunded as they've not had the product they purchased. Goodwill is the reason the majority won't request it. pathetic

Somebody asked why Barton would be desperate, like you say I doubt his phone is ringing off the hook because of the controversy with a pending court case (if not his history). Be interesting to see what the deal is though if/when it’s announced That was me and I still dont see why he would be desperate. He's hardly likely to be short of a few quid so unless he's happy with the deal being offered why would he take it ? stepping stone

Bridgwater tonight is on Lockdown.... I'm so proud and making it known on George Street. I f**king ecstatic tonight, got my Quarters on and making it known... What a great victory. In Barton, ooops Widdrington we believe thank joey for that, done a zoom call to the dressing room before the game with a claw hammer in his hand

I would like to assure the President and the rest of the board that my wife and myself will cut up our season tickets and post it to the club if they even consider appointing Barton. The man is a liability with a criminal record and a long history of violence. I will, after supporting this great club for sixty years through thick and thin, have nothing to do with Rovers if they bring this object anywhere near the club cheerio cheerio cheerio 👋

Of the potential candidates Barton is the only one I believe can help us avoid the drop. He's the only one with a good recent knowledge of of league 1. He has a good record managing at this level (40% win ratio and 1.5 PPG). He will even know some of our strengths and weaknesses from games against Fleetwood. We have to win 8+ matches out of 20 in a little over 11 weeks. Whoever comes in needs to hit the ground running. There is no time for settling in, they will need to make an immediate impact. WE have some vital games coming up. I also think he'll help us progress as a club in the long term. Depending on Covid, if we're successful with Barton in charge they'll be 10k fans at the Mem cheering on the team. I love DC but even with him in charge gates would drop to 5-6k if the team are relegated and struggling in L2. Bottom line, there may be a few that choose not to go if Barton is given the job but if - and it is an if - he's successful that number will be far outweighed by the additional fans we'll gain from having a winning team. Personally if he's given the job I will be judging him on what he does at Bristol Rovers. An excellent summary of what is needed right now and Barton is the man who can deliver. let’s hope wael doesn’t listen to all the belters on Twitter messaging him saying don’t employ the thug etc

Some people need to wake up and realise that we need a tough bugger manager someone who's gonna motivate the players put fire in there belly's show a bit of passion.Yes Joey has done some bad stuff in the past but the past is the past and just move on he is exactly what we need i can't believe people would rather go down then appoint him what if he keeps us up and next season were pushing for the playoffs would you still be unhappy? And what if we go down and he gets in a fight with the players next season? Anything is possible with Barton, both the good and the bad. if we go down I hope he does give them a slap,it’s our club but the players don’t care they still get payed whatever

The amount of Gasheads that I’ve seen on social media and the forums say that they want nothing to do with the club if Joey Barton is appointed is rather concerning. Could be a commercial mistake appointing him if not an on the field one. We'll be voting with our feet and gate receipts will be right down... load of bollox

This is a family club. Always has been, always should be. I’d much rather hold onto that identity than a League One status. Joey Barton should not even be under consideration. pathetic,we’re like any other club

Love him or hate him the one thing Joey Barton would bring would be pride and passion he would certainly give the players a kick up the ass which they deserve, yes he does overstep the mark and has an attitude but personally think he is the guy to install that passion in wearing the blue & white quarters and keep us in League 1 old skool thays what we need, battle and earn your f money
