For me there's still positives...the players and us have made the mem a fort and a hard place for any team to come here! I've always love the feel of the place and I know it's not our future but it can be made a lot bigger, there's talks of making it 16,000 if so fantastic as I love the location and 16,000 can work for us...burton have a capacity of 6000ish and manage to get by so I think it's time we take stock and focus on the new season as we've all been looking forward to it... So come on you purple and blacks ha....

Rumours there might be a UWE Governors meeting tomorrow where the stadium might, or might not, be on the agenda to be discussed? Surely this deserves a new thread on its own? And the thread must be called "The stadium of might"

Northampton fans are sad to see smith go, their saying they thought he was off to a championship team...only flaws are kicking isn't great and not great on crosses or corners( let's hope milds sorts that out) But good shot stopper and one on ones...I'm trying to forget our worst striker putting 4 past him...smith to start over slocombe for me...

Having the fixtures released today had me like an excited 10 year old again but suddenly fear struck me with half a dozen players signed on and no keepers so I'm dusting off my puma maradonna's and bringing them along in a carrier bag just in case...any goalkeepers out there? If not we're have to pull straws... Why not have some faith in our manager? You know, the bloke with two promotions in three years and a very respectable finish in his first attempt at league one? Enjoy the summer and stop moaning. ha, I'm not moaning I'm just showing concern and thought I'd have a laugh to destress myself

] The Pirates, led by manager Darrell Clarke, will turn to the new season with renewed optimism, and will look to use their experiences of this year to get them over the line by May 2018.
Clarke will look to add a number of new faces to his squad this summer, and bolstering the middle of the park could prove a priority to the boss in the coming months.
Arsenal’s Gedion Zelalem could be the perfect addition to Clarke’s side, with the 20-year-old set for a very bright future in the game.
Born in Germany, Zelalem looks set to represent the USA after gaining citizenship, and has already appeared in both the FA Cup and UEFA Champions League for his parent club.
AdTech Ad Last season, the midfielder spent time on loan in Holland’s top flight with VVV Venlo following a successful period in Scotland with Rangers the year before.
Zelalem is an impressive play-maker with an eye for a killer pass, and after time in a top European league, should find the switch to League One a relatively easy transition.
If Clarke can get Zelalem to the Memorial Ground and help him realise his potential, then Bristol Rovers could have a future star gracing the city for a season.
Bristol Rovers fans – would you like to sign Zelalem? Let us knowing

Ellis is a middle of the road league 2 player and for me isn't the future of the club, he's done us ok in conference and was along for the ride and hasn't stepped it up like the likes of locks/leads/Ollie etc so I wish him good luck and hope he doesn't resign and goes on elsewhere and does really well...

Surely this can't be true we've signed the light weight goalless flop of last year??? What more evidence do we need that he doesn't do it in the matches and I guess must be a good trainer as why else would you do it... surely the majority will be moaning loud across the mem when he misses or falls to the floor with his back to goal! We won't be pushing for promotion with that as our forward line!!! Source ?? Efl transfer news

Personally don't think he's a match for Ollie or linesy or sincs and always thought he was shocking when he played us, reading the u's forum they can't believe they got in the 3 figures for him? Hopefully he proves me wrong...still not sure £150,000 plus and £110,000 plus for sercombe and partington is great business myself...
