I bumped into a kiddie that stands by me at the mem last night. We had a chat about how we have been playing and as he was about to go I asked if he knew anything about the supposed take over. He said to me what do you want to know so I asked if there is any truth in it and he said yes it's true. He said that it's a Hampshire based company/ consortium and the takeover will be fronted by Holloway. He said done deal set to be announced first week in November. Wael and family will retain a percentage and the reason that they are selling up is the old man is not well. Don't know if any of this is true but have no reason to doubt the kiddie and I asked him before he told me about it.

I think he's one of our own would be a nice touch for a player who showed loyalty when others didn't 👍

Just a shame Sinclair is being played on the left bloody wing I like Sinclair there! Can tuck in to help the midfield, adds energy, frightens the full back with his pace and pressing. He's not going to take anyone on from a standing start, but runs in behind instead.
Moving him off the left wing on Saturday sapped all of the energy from our attack.
And me 👍

I was thinking more on the lines of getting a design and planning and then build time.

how quick can we build a new stadium if we were to buy the land today and if there are no problems ( i.e legal challenges) ?

My take on it is that if wael and family were con merchants DC would not still be here. We have a manager that is honest and intelligent so I'm happy to put my trust in his judgment.👍

What ! 5-The pasty was succulent, full of flavour. Fantastic. Come to Cornwall and see how a REAL pasty tastes (well, so long as it is one of Anne's on the Lizard !!) I'm a chokes Falmouth man myself 😉

I guess you weren't around during the Twerton years, when you look back it's remarkable the club survived that period let alone got promoted to the old Div 1. Nope, I started watching at Twerton but I missed the Francis years. I was around during the twerton years and stand by my post . What God did was amazing and maybe the passage of time has taken the gloss of what was achieved but the promotion back to the football league at the first attempt was massive especially with the Sainsbury's court cases being lost. I think the club was in as much danger as in the dark days of twerton park.

Difficult to choose really. What Gerry did was special as the rag bag rovers tag suggests. Holloways side with cureton and Roberts up top played some of the best football I have seen the gas play. Dc is with out a doubt the most important manager we have had. To get us back into the football league at the first attempt should not be underestimated and without that we could have been in a dire position now i.e. Stockport . Also dc is still here and cannot really be judged until his journey with the gas is over but I have a funny feeling he will be judged as the best manager we have had when his time is up. Said it on here before he reminds me of Brian clough, a likeable arrogance about him that gets the best from the players he works with.

Money does not bring success it's good management of that money that will. We may or may not been able to go out and buy a player yesterday for 500000 but he may not have been the right player for our team at this time. Darrel Clarke has proved time and time again that he is a good manager so why don't some trust his Judgement. I ask those that have questioned the board on Taylor's transfer what they would have done different to keep him. Would anyone of give him a 5 year deal when we signed him in the conference or even after he had scored 20 goals that season, I think most would answer no. As much as we all wanted him to stay last summer would we have said he would have been this prolific at a higher level again probably not. He had us over a barrel at the end of the season so we had to agree to any release clause. what has watered me off is the snakes attitude in all of this. He has shown a complete disregard for the fans not even by joining that lot but by the lack of a explanation direct to them or a thank you for the support we gave him during his time with us. I know how important his goals have been to us and where we could have been without them but his attitude has made it easy to hate him.

I remember what a true gent Lambert was when he left us and the contrast with this little scum bag. Lambert will always be a gas legend where as Taylor will alway be a lady garden.
