Only been following the Gas 35 years so I didn't see most of these keepers play!
Were the old guys really that much better? Find that hard to believe, probably longevity was the difference?
Is it a reflection on our regular struggles to find solid keepers?
For me these three were head and shoulders above the rest from 1990/91 onwards:
Fraser Forster Joe Lumley Steve Phillips
(4th Brian Parkin, but not the same league as above)

You're in good hands with dudelebowski, top bloke who has a decent Rovers shirt collection, I've had shirts off him and they've always been well looked after. Hope it proves a hit. UTG

17/41 want to stick with Joey even if we go 20 league games without a win and get relegated!!! 😂

The other colour that's been added to the blue and white quarters is navy, and that's worked well. 93-95, 99-01, 03-05 and this season, all great shirts in my opinion.

Barton's on borrowed time. Talking himself up beyond his remit and yet has failed to do the job he was brought in to do! Hopefully Wael gives him his P45, or waits for him to get banged up so the contract can be ripped up. He's been a car crash of an appointment, it's him who has over seen us going down without a fight.

They should be, shouldn’t they? That’s what we want Ed Hadwin and Keith Brookman to be too isn’t it? Why can't they tone it down a bit when they know 1,000+ Gasheads are listening and paying£10 for the privilege? Although not sure what's going on with R Bristol as Sam Frost is clearly at the game from his Tweets. Think it might be a BBC decision!

Think there were a few of the players who came on who would have been better starters. I wish Walker or Ayungua had started. I like Hare, he has quality. And I like Hargreaves. Tutonda has more about him than a number of the players selected today.
Ogogo is better than Grant, the lack of creativity in tonight's game is not really a reflection on him as that's not his game, although in fairness he does have a few goals in a Rovers shirt.
Let's hope a number of these players can get loaned out.

I have too admit that I haven't been on here anything like as much as I used to pre-lockdown. I think there are two reasons, one I can now watch all the games live, whereas as I'd log onto gaschat to follow the game and at HT whilst at the match. The other reason is I've started engaging on Twitter with other Gasheads and groups of Gasheads. I never thought I'd use twitter, but it can be great if you chose wisely who you follow. I don't want to draw people away from gaschat but I reckon some of you would enjoy some of the following, UTG: twitter.com/KeithBrookman?s=09twitter.com/RetroRoversPod?s=09twitter.com/GasCastPodcast?s=09twitter.com/BRFCPolls?s=09twitter.com/frosty920?s=09Plus the feed from the club: twitter.com/Official_BRFC?s=09Others might suggest something different, doesnt hurt to look, and you can always do both. Out of interest are any of the forum members already users of the above?

Surely Widdrington has to go down as our best ever manager though ? Never lost a game and a 100% win rate. Widdrington, our Kevin Keegan - we're gonna score one more than you!

Ifollow was absolutely hopeless on Saturday, didnt see a kick, just a black screen and a chat with 5 separate ifollow agents who just spouted stock phrases like use a different browsers / device and clear your cookies and cache. They arent fit for the job, really frustrating.
They had a particularly bad day on Saturday, I've watched nearly every game prior to this, not without issues, but this was beyond. If you check the efl twitter there were a lot of problems across their whole platform on Saturday.

These are the two shirts in question, the left Cowlin Construction is the 07/08 shirt, the right Cowlin is the 08/09 rare one. They are great shirts, some of my favourites. I'm not sure how rare it was, I'm interested in your idea that it wasn't commercially available. Does anyone else know if that's true? View AttachmentThe one with Cowlin only was never sold. I hadn't realised! I did well to pick it up then. Makes this a pretty rare set! UTG Attachment Deleted

For anyone wondering what I was on about earlier, this shirt is the much rarer variant from the following season.

I still have the white shirt. When I do wear it to the games I always get great comments. Seems to be a fans favourite. You seem to be right there cardiffgas this shirt is getting rave reviews on the latest Gas Kits Twitter Poll, another Spall beauty!

Hi all, can anyone help me with some details about these two shirts? I'm hoping that somebody knows someone who has one? They are the 1988/89 and the 1989/90 yellow away shirts. Thanks in advance all. UTG! Attachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

Oh wow! Thank you lmgas 🙏 sweet! I used to like the old Quarter badge but loved the current one. That's a new bit of rovers knowledge for me, seeing the old badge! Awesome 😎😎 👍 I believe this badge was used for four seasons 83/84, 84/85, 85/86, 86/87. 1983/84 was the last Bukta shirt, 86/87 was the first of the two sets of Henson shirts, but the 84-86 Hobott's have by far the best badges as they were embroidered, you can't beat an embroidered badge 😍. I remember having the Roman Glass quarters as a very young boy. Can't remember what year but that was a trip down memory lane seeing it on there! Anyone got a decent pic of the old old crest? Never seen that before! I've still got my yellow trimmed shirt from the mid 00's. Still fits, ace design 😎 Attachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

A few of you guys were appreciative when I shared some pics of my 1984-86 Rovers Hobott shirt on this thread last month, so I thought you might also be interested to see my newly added 1984-86 away shirt that just arrived today, UTG!

This is why I didnt renew our season tickets. Pay for three sesson tickets, or, pay for one ifollow pass on a game by game basis 🤔
Guess it depends on what people think is likely in terms of a return to actually going to the ground, but looks pretty unlikely to me, and the idea of full capacity and therefore no ifollow must be near to zero.

Harries is so so poor, he is consistent, in all the games I've seen he has proven himself incapable of kicking a football to the players on his own team - that penalty summed up his abilities. And this is Garner's idea of a centre back comfortable on the ball!!!
