Nice been down there a few times to play junior sides with my sons team
Very welcoming facility the bar etc is a bit dated now so this is very exciting for the town
The actual site is huge so lots of scope to put these plans to fruition
Good luck to them

I’ve said this in other threads but I’ll say it again
Barton has turned up KNOWING how football works - at higher levels than this
And he’s asked probably very reasonable questions and either hasn’t been given answers or has been given blank looks
If he has got answers it appears he finds them laughable
Wael doesn’t have clue, he’s trusted Widdrington and Starnes they’ve sold him the “let’s develop players and make money “ dream and in the blink of an eye we are in league 2
I’d call that negligent and JB is 100 percent spot on
of course Wael owns BRFC , he’s entitled to do what he likes with his toy
Shame on his directors. shame on Garner who has been the architect of our demise , shedding Ogogo, Craig, Ollie Clarke, Sercombe for a pipe dream of translating football theory into league one reality
Shame on those who have failed to spend the JCH proceeds on a proven striker . We are the year old lion in the jungle against bigger cats with manes
The team never had a chance, JB is , again, spot on
We are today, now, a laughing stock , a huge embarrassing mess of a club dissolving into civil war whilst we gulp for League one air like a drowning man with so little fight left before we take that first, harrowing swallow of water
I am at a loss, We’ve seen some dark days , I use to wince at the vitriol GC received from a large percentage of this forum but by God I bet you all wish we could see a tenth of the grit his team showed among the lambs that Garner recruited a mere 12 months ago and purport to represent our club today
My fervent wish will be that hurricane Barton rips through this place from Starnes to the tea lady and cuts every bit of crap away , every right on modern thought, every piece of muddle headed rhetoric , every lily livered cosseted entitled player until we have 15 men who feel some pride and honour in wearing our shirt
And once that happens we can build again
For now it’s eyes front and ignore the jibes from south of the river , what a burden we carry

Kilgore had a good season alongside Tony Craig
He’s shown a few errors this season but show me which player hasn’t
The fact he’s playing every week while a mixed cast revolve around him tells me he’s the best thought of CB we have and not having settled reliable partner is obvs going to make him skittish
He’s v young he’s got a lot of L1 experience and he scored that goal last season
Why the hell would a scout not take a good look ?

Should we not look what else we have in house?
Kieran Phillips made his cup debut under Garner at Oxford and hasn’t been seen since , drew a penalty that Leahy subsequently missed
Even for 15mins at the end surely there can be no harm in throwing an 18 yr old rocket on even just to give us some respite from watching Hanlon........

Sunderland paid 1.25m for Wyke and we drag ours from non league
You live and die on recruitment at this level
Nice dig JB ! He must be on this forum too.......

I only wish we could clear out ALL the crap ASAP... Today Williams , Hanlan and Westbrook’s did not do enough. Barrett truly needs to be playing at Weston Super Mare. Zain was good first half , Pablo put in a shift, Alfie diluted Wyke. Great to see Anssi back ... Rest was ninety minutes of huff and puff with no end product.! Barrett at WSM? are you joking ? do you know how many chip shops are in WSM? are you trying to kill the lad with temptation

hard to ignore the truth other managers waffle and squirm and talk in riddles he just says it how it is what's the old saying ? you have to cover up lies but the truth can run about naked! I keep on saying it but JB has been there and done it and knows what it takes and what standards need to be applied. If he says it how it is, how come none of us seem to be able to agree on what he actually means? I think we do he likes to speak in analogies but between us I reckon we have translated the scouse wordsmith pretty well. It's all Dr Garners fault and Tisdale slammed the lid on the coffin. JB is now fighting the undertaker before the funeral with a wet length of ribbon

Dammed if you do, Dammed if you don't. Tisdale was a soft, characterless manager that was so uninspiring to listen to, when he had that outburst that was a game after being thumped 6-1, not the best time to start singling out your strikers so publicly which is exactly what he did. He said he was not a magician and pretty much didn't have the answers. He asked to be sacked. Joey Barton, has been publicly and probably more damning with his words, but is anyone on here actually disagreeing with what is said or I missing something. Are we actually a really good team and everyone doing a great job at the club? Joey never singled out a single player, he speaks about the club as a whole and I agree personally. I think that maybe he hopes to get a reaction from players, have some professional pride and fight to survive. I think they are far too complacent and clearly not switched on every game as if every 3 point is a must. I hope the players do react and by sort of miracle we stay up, but it is unlikely with so much to do with so few games remaining. I think they are switched on, just not 100% of the game by 100% of the team. And they take it in turns like a relay first 30 mins v Charlton you'd struggle to find a more switched on team. Accrington at home was sublime. So they can do it. But they as a team are extremely fragile once a decision or goal goes against them. There's just no battle in the battle tank Last 20 mins of most matches they are like day old rabbits in the headlights

Or is that an easy way to deflect the blame from yourself? Just a question, and no I don't know the answer sadly. Sounds to me that The Scouse Jolly Boys Outing are looking to get booted ! Barton thinks he is better at managing than he actually is ! Leading Fleetwood ( which he compares us to in every interview ) to a playoff place is hardly tearing up the football world ! The whole situation at Rovers is a mess and ripping the club and fans apart ! agree its not tearing up the football world however its more than any of the recent previous managers have on their CV - for League 1

Noticed on social media one of r fans mentioned we were offered Bodin in January but Widdrington declined Preston were to pay all his wages anyone heard about this I find it extremely hard to believe that we would be offered a player of Bodin's calibre for FREE / zero wages... let alone decline it. cant comment on the financials but we absolutely did turn him down in the window

surely if he's talking about windows and a period of time he means the cancer is in the playing staff ?
there is no allusion to board or backroom in that tweet which I do appreciate may not be all he said

any level there's no one out there looking at local youth and hasn't been for almost two years and you're not telling me the players conjured up by Widdrington are the very best available, his network is Hampshire and that it We may be improving though in that perspective (or it may be just coincidence) but we did sign Meyanese from Weston, Ryan Jones from Weston and I think I've heard that we've signed Josiah McKayle from Manor Farm on a scholarship. I'm sure there were some others that went into the Dev squad too and I do know of some younger players who moved from local amateur teams to join the academy set up at Rovers. Don't get me wrong - our scouting could be much much better I agree but I don't think we aren't doing any scouting locally? (In reality I don't know for sure but having signed players from local sides over the last couple of seasons, I think its wrong to say we don't do any local scouting) Its probably by expenses paid rather than full time scouts though? Alex Hinder used to have a team of scouts working for him on youth development, two seasons ago they were put on expenses only so they all left. Cardiff City have a development centre right here in Bristol with two scouts (ironically Gasheads ) that pop up everywhere and attempt to mop up every 6-11 year old boy with a modicum of balance. they then train them every friday night and arrange matches against every other Cardiff City development centre on a bi-monthly basis (Newport, Cardiff, Swansea plus one more that escapes me, poss Glos/FoD area) - if and once those boys are up to speed they get a six week trial in the "House of Pain" in Cardiff academy and either get signed or get sent back to dev centre to work on whatever they get told to work on. Bristol City are fed pretty much exclusively by BiC and I know that recently they have signed at least 6 boys from Bic into their academy, three into the u13 set up alone. Cheltenham City hold open trials every year for up to u16s. They pick up boys from Bristol. As do FGR. As soon will Glos City who have now changed to academy status. you will always get the odd one or two getting picked up locally by Rovers, but in reality we are SO far off the pace there is almost no point in advertising for the scouts, which Rovers did last week. What a dismal comparison when you write it all down. further up the tree I have not so much insight, there must be one or two looking around however until we get the youth / academy thing right and retain the best local talent and show them a pathway, the local boys will get mopped up by the five local rivals mentioned above.

I'll start Scouting we don't have any At what level do you mean? any level there's no one out there looking at local youth and hasn't been for almost two years and you're not telling me the players conjured up by Widdrington are the very best available, his network appears Hampshire, Midlands and that's it. Anyone noticed we have a lot of players from Coventry, Peterborough or the south coast? god forbid we had anyone or a team doing the hard miles up north looking to mop up some decent players
