Grim isn't it? Don't know about anyone else but haven't enjoyed watching us since MT took over. Much preferred when we actually tried to play some football rather than this long ball crap. I prefer Taylor to the circus we had. We've played alright in some games and look awful in others. I just think we have a bang average squad. Oh as the man in charge, most definitely. Just referring to the football we play now.

Pirate, MT said yesterday that Kevin Bond had been in South Africa last week watching a couple of games. Does your eagle eye extend that far? Wondered if you knew of any gems out that way we may be interested in?

To give some idea of what he's like against League One opponents, some clips of him (no. 41) vs. Blackpool in the FA Cup. The ball he puts through in the second half for the chance the keeper smothers...sublime

Verdict from the Not The Top 20 website and podcast guys...
" 18:42 - Ali Maxwell Elkan Baggott (CB) - [Ipswich - Bristol Rovers] - Loan
6’5 left-footed centre-backs are always going to find a home. Bristol Rovers' only lefty CB is 36-year-old George Friend, and their expansive style of play isn't likely to bring the best out of him, so a signing of this profile makes sense.
Baggott has the height and nice on-ball aesthetics, but he jumped up from a loan at League Two Gills to another with League One Cheltenham mid-way through last season and didn't impact the first team at all.
He has more caps for Indonesia than he does EFL appearances at this stage, but this seems a solid option for all parties.
VERDICT: MAKES SENSE"

The Not The Top 20 website/podcast guys did a live transfer window blog last night and this was their verdict...
Harry Vaughan (AM/W) - [Hull City-Bristol Rovers] - Loan
"This is intriguing. Vaughan was playing games for Oldham aged 17, got a jump up to Hull 12 months ago and made half a dozen starts before finding his pathway blocked.
I'm intrigued because I'm not entirely sure what position is natural to Vaughan. He played left midfield for Hull, and in a central attacking midfield role for Oldham. He's a short, nippy, technical type and we're looking forward to seeing if he nails down a spot in Matt Taylor's side.
VERDICT: FEELING VAUGHANY"

The Not The Top 20 website did a live transfer window blog last night and they seemed impressed about his signing...
23:29 - Ali Maxwell Brandon Aguilera (AM) - [Nottingham Forest - Bristol Rovers]
"Bristol Rovers have got themselves a Costa Rican genie in a bottle!
A small, lefty, skilful midfielder to pop into Gas' midfield... wait, didn't I just write that about Harry Vaughan?
I asked the NTT20 Squad about Aguilera:
His work rate is great, got that feisty South American bite in him." Like that.
"Scored a couple of unbelievable goals for Costa Rica too." Tell me more.
"I’d say it could be one of the signings of the window if they can get it done." Dirrty.
The NTT20 Squad is the football equivalent of the 'knowledgeable Crucible crowd’. And they've got me all hot under the collar.
VERDICT: BEAUTIFUL"

And I think we might be shocked, it’s going to be a marquee one! Another tent?

Is that the old Alton Road entrance marked? Opening an entrance on the south side of the ground would be a massive bonus once Ashley Down opens and would mean you could walk it in probably 10mins and knock off a good 5 or 6mins and spread supporter flow. As someone who will be using that station, would love that to be the plan If the map's right, then it looks like Downend Road. Think there's houses all along there though, so not sure how they'd put in a new entrance/exit. The map seems to line up with 53A, which looks like a small house built in the gap between 51 and 53. Perhaps the plan is to knock it down, anyone know if we own it? (or any houses on that street?)

"These are shirts are not numbered and are not boxed" Missing comma? Although it seems pretty obvious that they are shirts! 😂 I'm very confused. The club has bought 1883 limited edition boxed and numbered shirts? And now has produced more of the same shirt, just without the box and they are not numbered, is that right? So as a guestimate we have produced around 2000 of the 140 anniversary shirt. But of the original 1883 how many have been sold? Would it not have been more profitable to have sold the remaining 1883 shirts at a discount first, rather than having hundreds and hundreds left in storage in the stock room? I would imagine we had a minimum order number, we couldn't just ask them to produce 1883. I'd assume 2000, which would leave only 117 non boxed/numbered shirts. Hardly "hundreds and hundreds". The boxed numbered one is still available on the website but the larger sizes (L, XL, XXL etc.) have all sold out so probably just a few left in the smaller sizes, which are always the ones more difficult to shift.

Expecting a few bids for will Evans to go in this week after his performance today for Newport. Looks a real prospect. I'd like to think we'd be in for him if Collins goes. Snap lol

Watching Newport v Utd in the cup and Will Evans looks a right handful up front, definitely think he's one we should be considering.

We won yesterday and played well Totally agree; I don't understand why so many are moaning about the new owners; the club has come a long way since 86 leaving what was a dilapidated Eastville Stadium, the club played for 10 seasons at Twerton, training at Frys while fighting to get back to Bristol, its only since the arrival of Wael the club has managed to replace the old Frenchay site with its own new Training Ground, and this week managed to quasi open a new 3000 seater South Stand, largely financed I understand by the new owner, wtf do people expect ? Where we were playing 40 years ago or the state of the club then has sod all to where we should be now. Brighton were playing at the Withdean Stadium 13 years ago with hardly a pot to pee in, look at them now.

If it's true that the owner's son offered Collins a new contract back in Sept and then pulled it that stinks. It also, for me, puts a completely different light on his performances afterwards. No wonder he looked pi$$ed off and disinterested. I think if most of us were offered a wage rise by our employer and then had it taken away we'd feel the same. No issue with him not playing yesterday either if the club have been actively seeking to offload him.

Quite right to demand a mil or more for the current League One Player of the Year and current top assist creator. Do you think we'll get that though? I'd be surprised if we get more than half that tbh. Guess we'll find out soon if the owner's son is as clueless about selling players as he's been said to be about buying them.

I'm guessing talks would have to be fairly advanced with at least one of those parties for him to be left out today.

Hopefully those in attendance on Saturday can at least raise a few "you don't know what you're doing" chants towards the holiday chalets.

Post match interview was just as depressing Sounds like it's starting to dawn on him what a sh** show the club is. Wouldn't be surprised if he jacks it in with us and decides spending some time with his family for a bit is a better idea.

I've had a nasty feeling for a while that I just can't shake off. With these owners and the lack of a proper structure and plan we're closer to sleepwalking back to D2 then we are to challenging for promotion.
I really thought next season could be where it starts showing but looks like the rot has well and truly set in already.
