Congratulations to the girls. Let's hope this raises their profile and they get the support they deserve. Do you mean support as in numbers of people going to games or financial maybe even both ? I did wonder why Nick Higgs cancelled the Rovers women’s team and apparently it was cost. I’m not sure but I think it’s the gas trust that provide finance and kit for the ladies. Maybe someone who knows can say if this is right ? The womans game has come a long way and has a much higher profile than when NH was with us. Good to see Woman playing football and it ust be another cash generator as it does attract a different fan base

On a thread about Aaron Collins. I was questioning why Aaron Collins (3 Goals & 8 Assists) was more deserving of a thread than Jevani Brown (1 Goal, 2 Assists & 1 Conviction for Assault). f**k me, let it go ffs

When Rovers went back to the quartered shirts in the seventies they were more expensive. The reason behind it was the stitching of the quartered shirt. I remember my old man complaining. Did he wear a suit of denims in protest?

DC was good but the enjoyment of the Francis years at Twerton coupled with my youth was my fav time - Only lived in Wick so nice and local and an early start in the local Twerton pubs I was barely born then. I think sometimes it is what age you are at that time in your life etc. Respect that the Francis years must have been enjoyable! You're right mate - I guess every generation looks back to the time when they first went independantly with their mates - And beating the Sh!t was amazing !

I got to admit I've never felt like I felt about Rovers before or after DC's time. I don't think I'll ever enjoy supporting Rovers as much as I did during his tenure. I supported the bloke until the day he left and personally would never have sacked him although I understand why we did. I remember I stayed until after the final whistle to applaud him off when others were booing. I felt his time was probably up but didn't want it to be. We love you DC. Who is comparing the way women play to the men's game? It is the same game, the difference is physicality. Physicality does not prevent a women from commentating on men playing the game anymore than the males who commentate, most of whom have never played professionally. But physicality is foremost in Barton's mind it seems, most likely because he lacks it. He displays all the symptoms of "Small Man Syndrome" and the intellect of a yapping dog. Thank god he is no longer with us. I have to say that I am not keen on having women’s football rammed into our homes. I used to enjoy FF but do not watch it now. IF the game was a stand alone product and not heavily subsidised then I would like to see the attendances and interest. One thing you cannot do is to compare it with the men’s game. just my own personal view. Converselt soccer a.m used to have Helen and I enjoyed that but that was much more lighthearted I am not a misogynist but i much prefer listening to an experienced ex players over a female plus I feel a disproportionate bias in pushing the ladies game. Just my own preference. I would never presume to tell others what to watch or listen to though You dont have to watch it old fruit - Most of us have more channels tan we know what to do with so you wont be short on alternative viewing

Oh look. Yet another thread about an ex manager. Why not amalgamate them all and put them in one giant thread where posters who post hundreds of posts a week can bore themselves to death. Totally agree - Its as if some people have some sort of weird stalking fetish - Move on FFS. It only antagonises our already divided fan base

Thankfully we have a game to look forward to later, maybe we can talk about that rather than constantly arguing about a bloke that left us 5 weeks ago. Interested to see how we set up and whether Taylor goes strong or uses the game to look at some of those who haven't been regular starters. Agree mate - time to get behong the new manager and not bicker about the previous one

Could someone smarter than me explain why we throw the ball back to the center halves when we are half way in the oppositions half? Surely no one smarter on here mate ?

The time it is taking is a little worrying. I agree with those that have posted about no plan B. Making us looking a bit of a shambles TBH What if Rovers have identified their choice for manager ? Perhaps they have chosen somebody already in a job. Perhaps they are negotiating a settlement. Perhaps the other club have asked for a little time so they can identify a replacement themselves. May not be the case ,but if it was it could account for a delay. A lot of ifs, buts and maybes there fella

Nothing against AM, but he was JB's choice for AM so therefore would the issues we had as a team still remain ? I was a fan of JB but have to admi that results under JB were not where we wanted them based on the squad we have. I know we have won a few recently but against opposition we should have won and also not altogether convincing wins. I think a new experienced face is the answer - someone who has a lot more experience than AM Think it will come down to our ambition this season, so many players out of contract before next season, that the appointment needs to be right, but is a great position for someone, no one can say we are rushing things! The time it is taking is a little worrying. I agree with those that have posted about no plan B. Making us looking a bit of a shambles TBH
