Amazing how impatient football fans/the population is. We are mid table league one, is it really that uncomfortable? A few games ago we won 3/4, and now after a handful of games it’s turf the manager out and start again.. really? I have my own doubts about the manager, but the modern day sacking culture has gone too far. Give the man a proper summer window and a fair chance. I get people are upset about Barton, but he made his position untenable himself with his off field antics, so those beds have to be made and led in. Was chatting to a mate today saying pretty much the same thing. Fair shout 👍👍

I was really sad to learn of Dale's passing last night. I got to know him when he was part of Bristol Rovers Supporters JFC. A brilliant coach of young players. Dale formed the club in collaboration with Alan Cross and they truly created something out of nothing. Within a few years of it's founding there were hundreds of boys playing football in Bristol Rovers colours. My own son George started to play for them at the age of 5 and Dale's influence ran right through the club, I became involved in a minor way because of my link to the official supporters club. He built a brilliant side in the age-group below George's and many of them spent time in Rovers youth set up, so good were they. Dale coached George for a season or so and was a great influence on him before he had to concentrate on one age-group, that was very much George's loss. He was such a character that eventually I had to write a piece about him in the Bristol Rovers programme in my "Pirate Eye" column and remember going to his house to interview him and his family. My favourite story that he recounted was when he went to get some milk, finished up in the the pub on what was I think was a Thursday with Rovers playing Blackpool on the Saturday, somehow Dale didn't get home until Sunday having just popped out for a pint of milk! I remember Sarah rolling her eyes as the tale was told, but it was clear that she loved him, footballing warts and all! What was clear was that he was a football man through and through, when he talked you listened and respected him. He managed to find me a photo of him playing keepy-uppy to accompany the piece in the programme, but insisted that it should be photo-shopped to give him a slimmer profile! Naturally I complied with his wish! Later on when Josh his son had a very bad experience as a young referee I was able to weave a little magic with the assistance of Tony Mills who then looked after the refs at Rovers home matches to help him get back out on the pitch. I did it because of Dale and his influence on a number of young lads who he helped up the football ladder. The other thing I remember about him was his organisation of the summer tournaments at Bristol Rovers Supporters JFC. Somehow despite the apparent chaos going on as everyone rushed around prepping pitches and refereeing matches he remained calm and got it all done. One tournament was held just near the old Filton Airport on land owned by Bristol Rugby Club. We had to deal with torrential rain which flooded some of the pitches and the PA failed. Somehow Dale remained calm and he managed to get the tournament completed, with thousands of players competing over two days. My sincere condolences to his family. I hope that his funeral will be well publicised because I am sure that there will be many people whose lives he touched who will want to pay their respects. RIP Dale. Kind regards John Malyckyj If you didn’t know, I’m pretty sure this article was mentioned and some of it read out in the service yesterday...

Give my regards to Angkor Wat. They built that in the 12th century…..and look at our South Stand in the 21st century.😜 They could have learnt a lot from us if they had waited a while…..😄 Watched the sun rise over Angkor Wat it was fabulous. Have moved on now from Siem Reap to Battambang. I went Angkor wat at sunrise 5 years ago , absolutely amazing place.. enjoy Cambodia.. Come on you blues UTG

I just had a look, as I was at most of these games, it was 6 in a row in the league , but we played Notts county twice in the cup during this run. Fulham a Bury h Cardiff h Northampton a Wigan a Chester h I thought we also won 2-1 at Tranmere on a Friday night. Was that not in the same sequence of games? The Chester game was 7th of April and the tranmere was the 23rd with 3 games in between ...

Fulham a Bury h Cardiff h Northampton a Wigan a Chester h And weren’t we one down in all of them? I was convinced the same would happen when we went one down to Tranmere at Wembley. Still blame Vic Callow for the penalty he should have given. Not that I bear grudges for decades of course. I haven't got that info, but I think you're right, a lot/most or all of them we were definitely 1-0 down.

Did we have a long stretch of 2-1 wins during the run in or is my memory playing tricks? Yep , 7 or 8 in a row i think 🤔 I just had a look, as I was at most of these games, it was 6 in a row in the league , but we played Notts county twice in the cup during this run. Was it the post about ladyboys and black players? If so,I'm not sure I understand what it meant and why everyone is going mad about it. It was a post that literally made no sense to me. 🤣 🤣 Same here. I asked the question yesterday I had no idea what he meant. Absolute Gobbledegook. Just looked at it again , no idea 🤣

Just left Surat Thani about 45 minutes ago, signal not the best 50% of the time on the way up but fingers crossed might watch a bit of the game, got f all else to do anyway 😂 We watched a game on one of our over night trains, Once you get settled they are quite comfortable, unless you've burnt your ankle jumping the burning rope at a full moon party! That was my daughter's problem when were on the same train as you! Have a good trip! Im very familiar with this train journey BG, not familiar with jumping that rope at full moon 🤣, not been there in years now (full moon party) though spend most of my time here on koh phangan...
