I have been told, today (from someone inside the club), that Brett Pitman is a real possibility.

Covid statistics from a few days ago - I always knew we could beat China at something, but seriously these figures make for grim reading and right now it looks that the disparity between the two nations will get much worse.
China confirmed cases 104,257 deaths 4,848
UK confirmed cases 5,407,428 deaths 128,960

Of course they treat them with the care they need but these same people are causing hurt to others by what I see as their selfish actions. Can you explain in what way someone who hasn’t had a vaccine is selfish? If the person who hasn’t chosen to have had their vaccine, (many reasons people will not put untested, unknown chemicals into their body) but follow every rule to ensure themselves and others are safe what is the issue? People’s anger and self righteous opinions on both sides of the argument is not going to do this country and it’s people any good, if things continue at the rate it’s going I can see huge societal problems arising which will not end well You should direct this question to the Queen - she said those that refused the vaccine were selfish

On the plus side, it will encourage more people to get the vaccine. Regardless of your opinion on the vaccine , This is truly worrying that this type of coercion is now being used, who knows where it will end. The science suggests less will die if the vaccine uptake is very large. Covid will not go away just because we want it to, the Government has probably now realized this, and it looks as though the country will in due course move to a policy of freedoms only for the vaccinated, isolation, job losses and misery for the unvaccinated. Not a desirable outcome but then nothing about Covid is desirable.

Hughes & Anderton both looked bigger, but camera angles can be deceptive. On the basis of his performance against Plymouth he looked a very good keeper I hope we can sign him.

I am confused, there is no way the keeper in goal on Saturday is 6'3"?? Just double checked on the google... and its either 190 or 191cm so about 6'3" - seems weird if he didn't look that size... How did he compare against Hughes & Anderton (both 6'2")? He looked well short 0f 190/191 cm to me, I would have thought 185 cm tops

Looked a decent keeper to me, there is something about him that suggests he is sharp between the ears and knows his way around the penalty area.

I think we're being harsh on Ayunga. Same as last season, we don't create much for our forwards. What are they supposed to do? The long balls forward from Taylor were awful, and were hit far too long. If we were creating chances and missing, fair enough, be we weren't. As for Taylor, I thought he looked a bit "dodgy"..... Ayunga simply not up to it.Non league player who makes Blissett look good by comparison. To be fair to Ayunga he did not get a striker's pass yesterday. Chance creation still looks a problem for us, but Joey did bot have all his options available. There is still plenty of work to do with this squad, but on yesterday's evidence the defence looks better.

Not much in the way of fireworks, but still an interesting game - Anderton looks a solid citizen, not sure about Taylor I would have thought Kilgour would be a better bet, but interestingly enough he didn't play, and Joey never mentioned him after the match. Anderson and Collins both had moments when they appeared to have something extra about them, and Hughes looks like he can read a game.

Still showing starting shortly on my feed Slightly worried as plymouth fans saying they have pictures. Same for me, I thought this was supposed to be up and running one hour before kick off

Obviously the biggest missing piece is a proven scoring no.9 Was always going to take the longest with the players holding most of the cards. I wonder if our attacking options (8's 10's and wingers) will improve our position of getting our man. Must be tempting to join a team likely to be supplying lots of chances. Does someone like Mullin fancy a real go at another 20+ season and really being able to pick his next move, rather than sit on the bench for a decent Lg1 team next season? Does anyone know if we are still in for another striker ? We currently have four at the club.

Harry commands a lot of respect from the Lincoln fans, so looks a very good signing for us. This season, we seem to have a few quickies in the squad.

Let's hope Luke does well for us and Barnsley have a good season. Apparently their is a recall clause if Barnsley feel the need to do so in Jan 22 in the deal. Where have you seen this mate? It is stated in the link below. www.barnsleyfc.co.uk/news/2021/july/thomas-rovers/

Thought he would be coming here ffs After the two signings announced last week I suspected Conor was not on his way here. A target man seems to be a possibility though

I do not know too much about either of these guys, have watched a bit of Harvey on YouTube which of course can exaggerate a players abilities, but he does look rapid and sharp, could be very effective playing off a target man.

I rated the guy - I felt he had talent. I guess Max would have recommended him to the Gills

I have a good feeling we are close to the first of two strikers that we are keen on bringing in. I'm sure JB knows the positivity it will create around the place potentially .... Any reason for this feeling of optimism, I have no doubt that we are in for a couple of strikers, but that does not mean we will get our first choice targets
