Two wrongs don't make it right. If I headbutted someone at work I would be dismissed. Rugby players will be royally shafted under your glorious rule Rod ! 😂 Correct. A headbutt off the ball in Rugby would be severely punished

What part of 'For a senior professional..." didn't you understand? 🤣 It’s an easy expression of outrage when it’s a player with no monetary value. If you (or anyone on here for that matter) owned a club with millions of debt I don’t believe you would sack a valuable asset. A far easier decision if it was someone like Payne for example rather than a Lambert type. It's a very strange angle and position you create. There is no alternate case where one is a young potential multi million asset and the other isn't. There is one action of unprovoked violence being debated.

What part of 'For a senior professional..." didn't you understand? We continued to employ a professional manager with two ongoing assault charges and also employed a professional footballer with a recent assault conviction, you sense CM would easily win a compensation claim if we dismissed him for just being sent off. Two wrongs don't make it right. If I headbutted someone at work I would be dismissed.

For a senior professional to react like that means he should have his contract terminated immediately - no pay off/compensation. It's not acceptable behaviour in any role/job and should b punished with dismissal. He has saved us this season but this is not acceptable Would you say that if he were in his early 20’s and a potential superstar with teams were lining up to offer us £10m in the summer? What part of 'For a senior professional..." didn't you understand?

Surely part of Barton's departure would be conditions to prevent undermining the new management? If he is contacting players and sowing discontent then he is in breach of conditions - if we're still paying him it must be grounds to at least stop that financial loss

He has to go I'm afraid. Last night was his 'Mark McGhee Garry Kenneth up front' moment for me. He has patently lost, if he ever had, any ability to motivate and enthuse the players or the supporters. He is devoid of ideas and having had a window to bring in new blood he still can't motivate his own recruits it seems. If, as we are effectively safe, we were losing but he was trying out new (sensible) formations and tactics, and blooding youngsters then I would be comfortable. Sadly he isn't, he clearly has no idea and the club is just drifting aimlessly. He must go now so that he and his lack of ideas and motivational ability don't drift through the summer resulting in a relegation battle from day 1 next season.

If you could see different tactics and/or formations being tried, young players being given opportunities with a proper game plan then, with us effectively safe, I could accept a run of poor results. But this tonight and the run we are on just demonstrates to me that MT hasn't a clue what to do and his lack of enthusiasm and ability is destroying any confidence and desire the squad had - and destroying the fans hopes too

Not sure what to make of this... The worry is that these owners don't have a clue and they are going to trust MT with the keys to the kingdom and have a mass clear out and replace them with absolute dross. He doesn't have contacts. I hope I'm wrong, but got a feeling MT is going to be a disaster. ...going to be? He already is

One thing that can’t be denied… Matt Taylor has sucked the life and soul out of a match day Think he's sucked the life out of the squad, the fans, the whole club. He stood in front of the supporters asking us to stay with the team yet he destroys any confidence anyone once had by his words and deeds

Gordon starting, and on the subs bench too. Is he going to be substituted, then come straight back on? That should confuse Reading. And everybody else. Think that should be Wilson on the bench - poor proof reading from the club

We haven't scored for 5 games, conceding 10. Bolton have only won 2 of their last 5 (drawing 2 and losing 1) but they have scored 12 and conceded 5. They haven't scored in their last two away games though (0-0 at Stevenage, 1-0 defeat at Derby). Collins has found his shooting boots with a hat trick last game and one a few games before. The hat trick included a penalty that he won - perhaps falling over in the box is seen as a penalty more often when playing for a 'bigger' club! So I can only see this going one way. 3-0 Gas Edit - I see that scdave made the same point about winning penalties (as I was typing, checking their recent form)

That's it then, Hopefully there will be an empty Mem for the next three games to show that we don't care either

They haven't turned up again and heads are pointing to the summer holidays. I honestly don't see the point in fans travelling away. ...or to the Mem if that is the attitude of the players. Come on Gas prove us wrong second half

Just watching the players warm up .., As usual the subs group just playing keep ups and messing around - we wonder why we get so many hamstring and strain injuries. Players just not warming up - there are enough coaches out there to have a word but more interested in other things clearly. Even at the incredibly modest and lowly level that I played, I had a very thorough warm up and stretch regime that I followed as I knew I'd pull a hamstring or a calf muscle, or Achilles if I didn't. I'd like to think our players are well enough advised and educated to do something themselves if it isn't a team thing
